police have found the boy of mc cwayne. william was last seen at the end of september. his stepfather, curtis lopez, faces charges in the murder of william's mother, jane. we'll bring you much more as this becomes available. our other big story this noon, the body of a recent college grad is found in a downtown dumpster. stranger still, it's the second body to be found at the apartment complex this year. kim dacey has more. >> baltimore police were called around 8:00 sunday morning after somebody made a gruesome discovery, a body at the bottom of a trash chute for the second time in a little more than a year. another body was found there august of last year. >> bizarre and also shocking. >> according to the police, it is 23-year-old emily. public information officer kevin brown says at this point

there is no indication of foul play. a note explained that police were investigating an isolated incident that resulted in death. residents described the trash chutes describes them as ordinary. >> the trash chutes aren't that big so i don't see how a person can fit in the first place. two times, it's unnerving. >> accidentally, no. it's really small. and kind of a pain to open up, too. you have to -- it takes a lot of force to open up that door. >> the man discovered last year apparently went down the trash chute and inside a trash compactor. investigators ruled his death accidental. >> new this noon, baltimore city police are investigating the rape of a 13-year-old girl. police say the victim was walking down the 800 block of north carol ion street when someone -- caroline street when someone pulled her in and raped

her. the suspect is described as a black male, 45 to 50 years of age, wearing a black skull hat, gray sweatshirt, black jeans, black boots and a mustache. well a westminster man is charged with first and second-degree assault. michael fisher jr., take a look here, stabbed a man. officers responded to that location around 7:00 monday night. miller was transported to shock trauma. >> well, we've definitely seen more clouds in the sky but really it hasn't been so bad. yes, it was very sunny this weekend but now we have more clouds but temperatures are still pretty comfortable. upper 60's right now at the airport. the winds out of the southeast around 6 miles per hour. we are going to reach in the low 70's by the afternoon and see quite a bit of clouds, maybe some sunshine ahead of

heavier rain. >> all right. thank you, ava. the trial of the man accused of killing a gas station owner will begin today. walter bishop killed william porter last year in exchange of $9,000. it is a murder for hire scheme. porter's wife, carla, allegedly hired bishop to carry out the crime but six people were indicted in william porter's murder. we'll bring you much more on the trial tonight. a former pastor will spend the rest of his life behind bars for orchestrating the murder of a blind man. he hoped to collect $1.4 million in life insurance policies on a victim. he pleaded guilty to planning the 2009 murder in which wallace was picked up from his group home and shot in a parked bathroom. he also received a sentence of 45 years for charges related to insurance fraud. brothers james and kareem were

acquitted last month of executing the murder. with a special session proposal on the table in annapolis has many marylanders up in arms. the joint committee will hear a proposal to raise maryland's gas tax by 15 cents per gallon over the next three years. not surprisingly a recent survey found 76% of voters do not want any increase in the gas tax. but supporters say the $491 million in yearly revenue will restore the state's depleted transportation trust fund. experts say the proposal is likely to be tabled until next year. >> president obama is driving on with his jobs tour today. a tour that was almost brought to a halt when the president's production equipment was stolen. an unmarked white truck carrying the president's podium and audio equipment was stolen out of the virginia hotel parking lot overnight. it was later found so the tour is back on. something republicans aren't happy about. republicans accuse the president of campaigning with

an israeli soldier held by hamas militants healed five years in gaza strip is back home. they released gilad schalit this morning. as john ray reports, it was part of the deal israel's government brokered with hamas that included releasing 1,000 palestinian prisoners. >> of the 64 months as a hostage, gilad schalit starts a new day, a new life as a free man today after a very long and painful period of negotiations. he was finally handed over by his captures from the hamas militant faction this morning. first into egypt and then flown into an israeli military base with an emotional reunion with his mother and father. he said remarkably after so long as a companyture to be in good physical shape. at the same time israel began the release of what would eventually number more than 1,000 palestinian prisoners. 477 today. some convicted of very serious terrorist offenses.

time now for carrie angle. she joins us with some answers to your gardening questions. we see this a lot during the fall, don't we? >> yeah. they are just really a plant that always works. i just love the colors. they're an easy plant to take care of. this poor thing is dry because i didn't wet. this is crotan. >> i have two small azalea plants by my walkway and they have a white substance on their leaves. what can it be? how can i address the problem? >> the biggest problem is a little insect called a lace bug. it looks like black spots. the white could be a soft buildup on it or a milly bug . see if you can scrape it off or wipe it off. if you need to, have an oil sprayed. there is some soaps and oils that can clear most everything up. >> ok. ively a beautiful high draininga in -- i have a

temperatures still above normal. this time of the year as we get into late october we should at least be in the 60's. you can see temperatures already pushing past 70 degrees. at the inner harbor it's 69 at b. wimplet. we are expecting that temperature to get up to 71. it looks like the outer suburbs will be in the upper 60's. it will be cooler in the mountains. 63 in oakland and 62 degrees right now in frostburg. although we are mostly dry there is a storm approaching. the first is a front that's starting to make its way out of the midwest. moving across the ohio valley. you can see quite a bit of moisture associated with this. we've seen some of that flow over in baltimore where it's produced some of the clouds. it's another system that will actually bring us the bulk of the rain. right now we have scattered clouds across the area but some clearing. may see just a few peaks of sunshine into the afternoon hours. an area of low pressure is in place across the state, but it's really this entire

boundary that's going to affect us into the upcoming day. and that's going to link up with another storm system. see this low down in the gulf of mexico? that's something we've been watching over the past couple of days for possible development of a tropical system. although that's not likely any more, the storm is expected to head up the east coast and that's going to fuel all that moisture moving back in the y. so those two systems will link up. we'll see it in the if the cast. it will be almost like a nor'easter. it will bring wet weather across the state of maryland, especially through the eastern tier. we can see the second system link up with that. another chance of rain into wednesday night, early thursday. and then behind that the prescription will be left around the mountains where it will be cold enough to talk about snow in the western tier of virginia. we are not talking about that just yet in baltimore. tonight mostly cloudy. drop down in the 50's. a chance of showers especially after midnight.
