according to court documents, witnesses claim carla porter set up the murder. investigators were able to put the case together using cell phone records and closed circuit television. >> we look get cameras all throughout baltimore county to connect the dots of the activity of these individuals. >> the murder took place here in baltimore county. there was a change of venue. the trial will take place in harford county. lowell melser, wbal-tv 11 news. >> attorneys for jason gross say they plan to appeal his murder conviction. it took a jury less than an hour and half to find gross guilty. they said he killed rochelle battle. they were able to prove their case despite the fact that

gas station owner goes on trial today. william porter was shot last march and investigators say william bishop pull the trigger. lowell melser has a preview. >> walter bishop is the second person to go on trial for the murder of william porter, who was killed at his gas station here in towson. it was last year when seamus coil was the first person convicted. mourners paid their respects. police were closing in on his alleged killers. he was shot in the head inside his business. >> in the days that follow, we were led to a scheme involving porter, who arranged for the death of her husband. >> she said she was having

problems with her husband. he said he would have someone take care of the prom, and that was william bishop, who goes on trial today. he paid $9,000 to kill william porter. her brother drove bishop and another defendant to the gas station. police say cell phone records helped unravel the scheme. police say at the time the gas station's closed circuit system was not active. >> we look at cameras all throughout baltimore county and other businesses to re-create and again connect the dots of the activities of these individuals. >> the question remains why carl wanted her husband dead. police say they have no records of being called to the house for

officials are expected to take the stand sometime next week. isthe president's jobs plan rejected in the senate. it would protect 400,000 jobs for teachers and firefighters. president obama just completed a bus tour urging senate republicans to get on board with this plan. the president will sign free- trade agreements with south korea, colombia, and panama today. congress approved the agreements last week. the deal is the biggest trade deal since the north american free trade agreement back in 1993. the police department will host a recruiting meeting for female
