heading northbound somehow lost control after crossing the conowingo dam and crash, causing a fuel spill and a huge fire. >> you can see some of the marks on the bridge where he began to roll over and it started to rip open the guard rail. it came to rest here behind me. >> amazingly, the driver of the truck suffered non life- threatening injuries and a few minor burns. representatives with the maryland department of the environment had crews on the scene thursday, setting up booms to prevent fuel from -- to prevent fuel from leaking into the susquehanna river. diesel fuel apparently floats, and facilities in perryville, havre de grace, and for deposit take their water from pipes 6-8 feet below the surface. >> the conowingo outflow in the

miles on the beltway after an accident this afternoon and balding -- involving a wood chipper. traffic was limited to just one lane. there is no report of any injuries. the cause of the accident remains under investigation. >> after the death of a church caretaker, police say they have found his killer. james johnson is accused of killing milton hillary clinton in 2010. his body was found in an alleyway. he had been shot to death. >> police say harford county teenager put on a ski mask and invaded the home in pennsylvania. 17-year-old mason carter is being charged as an adult, picked up in connection with a home invasion in york county that happened last thursday night. police say he broke in, shot the man inside, and stole the family's car. the letter found a stolen car back in harford county.

the investigation is ongoing tonight. police are on the hunt for several suspects reportedly assaulted a 14-year-old girl. >> police say she was looking for directions when she allegedly was attacked by a group of men. >> here is a picture of a vehicle similar to the one police are looking for. when the girl got inside, the men implied had a gun before sexually assaulting her. it happened a long leslie street in west baltimore. police are looking for this man, a suspect in a rape back on october 18, in which the victim was a 13-year-old girl. that have a long caroline street in east baltimore. if you have information about either of the cases, call metro crimestoppers. >> one day after convicting walter bishop jr. of murder, the jury has decided he is eligible for the death penalty. >> late this afternoon, jurists

-- it jurors came to the -- there was a voluntary videotaped confession, and that walter bishop jr. committed the murder of william ray porter. >> i am heartbroken. i really am. because i love to walter. >> friends of walter bishop jr. tried to offer him support the day after a jury convicted the 29-year-old essex man of first- degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. the same jury has determined he is eligible for a death sentence. >> it worries me. i don't want to see him get the death penalty. he is my nephew. aunt traveled from northern maine. she was in the court room as the jury heard portions of his

confession. >> even if i told the whole truth of everything, i am still going to go to jail. it doesn't matter, i am going to jail for 15, 20, 25 years. >>shabaz argued his client did not have a clue. how can you volunteer for something when you don't know what the consequences are? the jury found mischa guilty of being the triggerman in killing william ray porter. it happened in march 2010. the defense argued that bishop was not told his confession could make him eligible for the death penalty. the assistant state's attorney said the confession was voluntary, and under the law, police do not have an obligation

almost a year ago, eight left for afghanistan, and today, all eight came home -- 80 left for afghanistan, and all 80 came home. rob roblin was there. >> that have been gone for almost a year. today, they finally came home. hours before the maryland soldiers were due to arrive, their families came here to the armory at edgewood to wait. it is been a long your -- id has been a long year. >> my dad is coming home today. i feel so happy, because now that year is over and he is finally getting off the bus and coming home. >> about 2:00 in the morning i woke up and thought, he is really coming home. he is on the way. >> i am happy, ready, nervous. it has been a long year. has been rough.

around -- 40's of around harrisburg, freezing up and bradford, pa., at this hour. a big contrast to almost 80 on the south side of the front. it will produce scattered showers. you can see it invading western maryland now, and the cool air will slowly slide south and east as the evening wears on. the skies are going to clear up a bit and by early friday morning, in the colder northwestern suburbs, it could be down near freezing in south- central pennsylvania. freeze watches and warnings are out up that way, a frost advisory for carol and frederick county, and possibly northern baltimore, harvard, or cecil county could get a touch of frost tomorrow morning if the winds diminished enough. a sprinkle early this evening, then clearing.

by morning, low 30 to near 40. the front will get through here and drier weather moves in tonight and tomorrow, but on the south end of this front, you can already see the cloud is developing over the southern plains. it will be riding north along the front as the cold air is coming in and out of canada. we could have precipitation over the upcoming weekend. tomorrow, cloudy skies developing in the afternoon. a lot chillier tomorrow. look at that rain pointing to the south. that moves in friday night and into the day saturday. rains will be moderate to heavy at times, moving south and east. some of snow mixing in in western maryland and parts of allegheny and garrett counties by saturday. as the storm progresses and pulls in the colder air, it is possible it could change over to

after 11:00 last night. investigators from maryland state police said the tanker truck hit a guard rail, spilling about 7,500 gallons of diesel fuel. and 80-room and is facing murder charges in the death of a church caretaker back in 2010. chase johnson is accused of shooting a 70-year-old milton hill. he was found in an alley near the church where he volunteered. johnson is now in police custody, charged with murder. now that he has been convicted in a murder for hire death of a baltimore county gas station owner, the jury has decided that walter bishop jr. is eligible for the death penalty core killing 49-year-old william porter in towson. prosecutors relied on a taped confession from bishop as a key piece of evidence. >> baltimore is still going strong in the occupied wall street movement. baltimore officials -- a memo
