suspects. luckily, christopher crosby jr. had a bail hearing today, and when the judge said no bail, he applied -- replied, "i understand." police are investigating what went on before. one man is charged with rape and other sex offenses. there are also handgun violations. he and four other suspects are accused of attacking a 14-year- old girl on october 23. according to a charging document, the teenager told investigators she was in an unfamiliar area and was lost. she met an unknown black male who offered her a ride. the man also said he had a gun. when she entered the van, she saw two males already in the van, and then it two others got into the van. she suffered a brutal attack and

injuries. monday, crosby appeared before a judge at central booking. his bail was denied. they have learned that crosby had just been released from prison after serving five years for robbery and a gun and violation. he was wearing an ankle bracelet at the time of his attack to monitor his movements. it was confirmed he was under supervision. a spokesman says crosby was compliant. also, according to the department of public safety, crosby was placed in the monitoring device for 60 days and had no violations. as it has a gps system, and we are told that the police asked parole to see where he had been. reporting live from central booking in east baltimore, barry simms, wbal tv 11 news.

>> a getaway driver. a man has already been in trouble with the law as a sex offender. the 26-year-old is listed on the maryland sex offender registry for using force for having sex with his victim. he is behind bars for helping a friend used a knife to rob a store. he turned himself in for the incident on bel-air road. the other person involved is still on the run tonight. at least one school was placed on lockdown after a brief note manhunt in dundalk. police responded to date as a precaution. at least one nearby school was placed on lockdown while a k-9 team and a helicopter canvassed the area for suspects. the all clear was lifted in about 30 minutes. no arrests have been made. >> an early morning fire destroyed the historic tavern. >> it has long been a popular

spot. the owner plans to rebuild. lowell melser has been on the scene all day. >> amazingly, this is still an active scene more than 12 hours after this fire began here in mount washington. it remains closed, and there is still one firetruck year but continues to put out hot spots. you can see that smoldering area in the center of the restaurant. that is where we saw the worst of the fire. i spoke to one of the tavern owners earlier today, and he said despite the total loss inside, they will rebuild the business. a baltimore landmark burned to the ground. the shot patrons and neighbors crowded around to take a look at the charred out shell monday morning. >> it is a landmark in the area, and it brings a lot of business to the village, and i hope it can open up again soon and that

>> the prince george's county mall will soon be facing the wrecking ball. it will be worked into a town center. residents have complained that the mall is a community eyesore. the new one would serve people also in neighboring counties. there is no word on exactly which stores would be setting up shop in the area, but developers are so for calling them anchor tenants. >> breast cancer experts have thought that women are automatically added increased risk for breast cancer if they have a mother or sister or and -- have a certain gene. it increases the risk by about 20 times.

in the mountains, a little wet snow could mix with the rain showers. it is much more mild all of the way up into southern new england. 57 at easton, and it salisbury, 40's in frostburg and hancock, and then 39 in garrett county. we will call it a mostly cloudy sky through the overnight. scattered light rain showers will be possible, especially towards morning. it will be above freezing. there are two weather systems converging in the mid-atlantic. one in the ohio valley and then a storm tried to come up the florida coast. as these two pass by, clouds and maybe that scattered shower within the area of high pressure should get here as early as tomorrow afternoon and hang with us for the rest of the week. sundays and rain around virginia beach and norfolk.

all of this develops of the coast and pulls away. especially along the coast, there could be a sprinkle. most areas will see a good deal of sun tomorrow afternoon. then sunni through the day wednesday and only partly cloudy skies expected on thursday. so tomorrow, look for lots of sunshine, 54 to 59 and a north breeze at 8 to 15. there is a one-two foot chop. 50's to near 60. sunshine returns tomorrow, and sunny skies on wednesday. highs a little on the chilly side. this is not too bad as we go into november. on the bay, scattered showers perhaps in the morning, but just a 20% to 30% chance. the lower eastern shore has the best chance for picking up in little rain. 58 degrees tomorrow and then setting on wednesday with a high

they could. you see the aftermath. still no word on exactly what caused that fire. and west baltimore man is charged with the rape of a 14- year-old girl. the alleged assault happened last week inside a van parked in the 1500 block of leslie street. police are still looking for four other people in connection with that attack. a manhunt in dundalk, forcing one school to be placed on lockdown. police responded this afternoon. as a precaution, at least one nearby school was placed on lockdown while the k9 team and the helicopter canvassed the ground for suspects. at this hour, no arrests have been made. >> well, none of us will probably forget the 2010 snow

ok for trick-or-treaters through the early evening. folks wearing costumes. out to the west, some scattered rain showers. maybe more in the higher elevations. this will come through overnight tomorrow morning with primarily rain showers, and there is some decent rain in virginia and the eastern carolinas, so that has to be watched. on the eastern shore in the coastal areas, lighter showers off to the west of us, and a lot of this is expected to fall apart as it makes its way east. no precipitation yet in baltimore, but the clouds will thicken up through the evening. temperatures chillier than normal for a halloween day, where the normal and 62. we made it into the upper 50's today. the warmest was in 1946, 85 degrees. it is 51 in randallstown. chestertown in the low 50's.

upper 50's southern maryland, even some 30's out in garrett county. a late show tonight, especially on the eastern shore. overnight lows near 40, upper 30's. an area of the pressure stretching from the ohio valley and pressure off of the florida coast. this takes most of the moisture out to sea, and then strong pressure comes and behind it. once we get rid of that shower chance in the morning, sunshine in the afternoon. thursday looks really nice, as well. this will probably not arrive until friday or so, so the middle of the week is looking nice. skies turn sunny. highs of 54 to 59, the wind at aid to 15 m.p.h.. on the bay, a one--- 1-2 foot chop. it is cool in the morning, close
