the head at a baltimore county gas station on march 1 of last year. jurors found bishop guilty last week of first-degree murder. now they will decide if he'll face a death sentence or life in prison with or without the possibility of parole. bishop's father testified in court and told reporters about a recent phone conversation he had with his son. he said bishop expressed fear of getting the death penalty. >> he said, "dad, i'm scared." i said, "i know you are, boy." i said, "if i was in your shoes, i'd be scared, too." >> before jurors went into deliberations, walter bishop jr. made one final statement to porter's family. reporting live, jennifer franciotti. >> closing arguments will begin in the corruption trial of ulysses currie. prosecutors have laid out a case accusing the democrat of taking payments from shoppers food warehouse in exchange for his influence in getting political favors.
