we'll check our cameras 95 at the fort mchenry, no delays to report in the tunnel. a smooth start right now on the west side at baltimore national pike. that's the latest. >> our big story this morning, fire crews are investigating a fatal fire in northwest baltimore. at park heights what officials know so far about the fire, kim? >> the fire started at about 9 :00 last night and started in a garage and spread throughout the dwelling at elmer avenue. fire crews worked after the blaze was out and firefighters went in the garage and found one person dead. >> firefighters performed search and rescue operations after extinguishing another fire where they found the body of a non-responsive victim

expired. preliminarily appeared to be from smoke inhalations and burns. >> the state medical examiners office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death but no word on the person's identity or cause of death at the moment. >> students recovering and another after a stabbing that happened yesterday afternoon. according to officials a 14-year-old student stabbed another in the stomach in the stair well. >> they are kids. that's ridiculous! one, why do they have a knife in school? how did he make it through the school and how long did this kid have a knife in school? and how many other kids have nies and guns? it's -- and knives? it's sad. >> no word this morning on what

down through the mid-atlantic. it went through baltimore and the wind shifted from the south to the north-northeast. it's not windy right now, but this afternoon the winds may be gusting up to 25-30 miles per hour. heavy rain across the southern part of virginia to norfolk. again, nothing of any consequence here, but you could see a little sprinkle activity on your windshield as you're driving to work. looking up towards pennsylvania, you can see the clearing line that will sink to the south. so we'll see more and more sunshine breaking through, but the temperatures aren't really going to move. the temperatures are now in the 40's but we'll only make it into the upper 50's today.

spent much of the evening fighting a fire in northwest baltimore. >> hi kim. >> hi jen and mindy. the started at 9:00 p.m. last night. the fire started in a garage behind the home and spread to that dwelling. city police roped off elmer avenue. after the blaze was out and it was safe, firefighters went inside the garage and found one person dead. >> firefighters performed search and rescue operations after extinguishing another fire where they found the body of an unconscious, nonresponsive victim expired. preliminarily appeared to be from smoke inhalation and burns. >> the state million examiner will perform an autopsy on the body to determine the official cause of death. no word on that person's identity or what caused the fire.

kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you kim. another fire is being investigated this morning. this one at the intersection of green and mores road in harford county. the fire reached two alarms and two people went to the hospital. no word on their conditions. >> two men are behind bars charged with attempted murder in a drive-by shooting in queen an's county. police say shots were fired in october out of a vehicle that 36-year-old enter nell mcfarland junior and another were driving in. we're told the target were two men standing at the edge of saw middle lane. according to court documents an altercation between men earlier in the day sparked the attack. >> mourning the death of a grandmother and grandson after an alleged murder-suicide. authorities say she was murdered by her grandson, the

21-year-old. police believe he stole her car and then took his own life. >> the daughter became concerned when the employer stayed victim had not been to work in two days which was highly unusual. another family member went to check on things and found victim in the basement. she had been shot several times. >> they later found victim's grandson dead inside her car on loch raven boulevard. he had apparently shot himself. >> authorities say 54-year-old young gong kim worked at a hair salon. we're told the victim was a client of the salon and police believe there may be other juvenile victims. so far they have not released a victim of the perpetrator. >> and around 4:30 a man was taken away on a gerny after an accident.
