depending on who you ask, the baltimore grand prix was both the best and the worst thing to ever happen to this city. according to promoters, it was a huge success, and an economic impact study released said it generated about $47 million, far short of the expected $70 million. $2 million in tax revenue going to the state and $1.70 million to the city. 160,000 people attended with 75,000 of them for more outside the metro area and 41% from out of state. that is where the good news ends. >> we are the only company that could have pulled this off. >> her company provided pavement markings, barricades, concrete barriers, and traffic control for the grand prix. she showed us all of the unpaid bills assented to baltimore raising development to the tune

to see a scenario where this event economic value will overcome any short-term financial challenges." a slap in the face for vendors like cathy. >> they brought in millions of dollars, where the hell is it? where is that money? >> hour calls were not returned from baltimore raising development or the council members offices. the vendors found that highly disturbing. kathy is in the process of hiring an attorney and says, in her opinion, the opinion -- the future of the baltimore grand prix is now in peril. wbal-tv 11 news. >> no verdict today in the case against ulysses currie. he is accused of taking too moderate $45,000 in bribes from a local grocer in exchange for using his influence to push legislation that benefited them.

murder. freddie jones, jr., was killed inside the chinese carryout and police released this surveillance video and the 17- year-old as family saw a familiar face. >> his parents are actually brought him into police headquarters. they said they saw their son's picture on the news and recognized him as the shooter. they would not be able to live with themselves not something like this had happened. >> right now, he is being held in central booking. they still need the public's help because there are two suspects still on the list. if you had any information, you are urged to call baltimore city police. a man accused of killing a teenager is back in maryland. 37-year-old man fled to alabama after the death of brian jackson. he is accused of killing jackson with a hatchet and dumping his body. he is being held at the

baltimore county detention center without bond. his wife is still in alabama and will be returned sometime later. she was arrested on violation of probation. she is not charged in connection with the murder. >> harford county firefighters are trying to figure out what started this deadly house fire in baldwin. firefighters found a 20-year- old conner unconscious and he was later pronounced dead at upper chesapeake medical center. his father was also treated for minor burns. fire crews investigating a deadly fire in the northwest baltimore. it is on the 5200 block of elmer avenue around 9:00 p.m. last night where a fire started in a rock and spread to the home. the discovered a body inside. but the victim's identity has not yet been released and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. >> the perry hall principal had
