date. dozens gathered at a site of eight recent murders in baltimore. friends, family, and committee members turned out at the carry out where freddie jones jr. was killed monday, gunned down inside of the carryout or a security guard was murdered last year. organizers say it is time to rally together to take control of their neighborhoods. >> obviously, the prime rate has come down, the murder rate has come down, but nowhere near enough we believe if the church is involved we can pray for the community and support the community. if enough of us rally, of god will change it. >> yesterday, the police arrested mark l. jones in connection with the murder. two brothers recovering after the were stabbed in aberdeen. investigators say that the

officers were called for reports of an altercation. when they arrived, they found the two brothers suffering from stab wounds. both were taken to area hospitals. no word on a suspect or what led to the violence. baltimore county police are trying to figure out how man's body ended up in a dumpster in towson. the man believed to be in his sixties was found in the dumpster on joppa road. he had a head injury, but the police do not suspect foul play. no word on sparked -- on what sparked the two-alarm fire in perry hall. investigators say the fire started and the ceiling of a third floor condo. nobody was hurt. we know the names of the two children killed in a fiery crash in prince george's county.

former cbs newsman and commentator andy rooney has passed away. known for his on-air candor and with died bass line -- died last night. he started in the army as a writer. it was only last month that he signed off from cbs's 60 minutes. he was 92. joe frazier is seriously ill with liver cancer. his manager said that the former heavyweight champ is under hospice care and has been in and out of the hospital since diagnosed last month. frazier was the first boxer to defeat the, dolly in the fight of the century in 1971. former penn state football
