a historical low turnout. that is the big story this evening. the polls closed eight you hours ago. analysts expect 10% of the city's registered voters cast their ballots in this election. in the race for baltimore city mayor, no surprises. rawlings-blake has been declared the winner with 89% of the precincts reporting. 13% voted for the challenger. we have this report now. >> i want to thank everyone for being here tonight. thank you so much for believing in me. thank you for being here. >> mayor rawlings-blake thanked her friends and family for the wind. most voters did not make it to the poll. >> we worked hard, sending out

means he will be reinstated. the former executives who were tried on related charges were also acquitted. reporting live. the man is in custody, accused of strangling his grandmother. police say he is facing first- degree murder and assault charges. authorities say his grandmother was found dead inside her home early saturday morning. a police officer is recovering after being dragged during a drug investigation. the officer approached a pickup truck. that is when the -- truck driver took off, dragging the officer for two blocks. looking for a late model brown ford pickup. anyone with information should contact police immediately. we know the identity of the teen was count -- shot by police. they were forced to shoot the

teen when he refused to put down a pellet gun. they were responding to reports of a man carrying a gun about 3:00 is today at demint request and our officer for spotted the suspect, -- 3:00 this afternoon. >> when our officer first spotted the suspect he was carrying a gun. there were multiple attempts to get him to put the gun down. >> we are told he had two of the run-in's with police. he remained in critical condition. police believe a quadriplegic man found dead eight months ago was murdered. investigators first thought he had died of an overdose in february. when an autopsy determined someone gave him the deadly dose. close to 1000 residents are without heat and hot water after

discovered two cases of legionnaires' disease. two patients began showing symptoms in september. they have made a full recovery. the center is serving only bottled water, while an investigation continues. a former waitress has filed a harassment complaint against her boss. she is claiming she lost her job because she complained about the way he treated her and others. we have more on her allegations. >> it was something i did not want to deal with. >> she wants customers of this restaurant to know her discontent. it is written on the flyers' she is passing out. >> i wanted to keep my job. enough is enough. >> haywood worked here for four

years. she filed an equal opportunity employment complaint. she said she was discriminated against by a female manager. that african american employees and customers were treated differently. when she complained, she was fired. her uncle, who runs the united youth council, is helping her with the complaint. >> she was harassed. she was called the rogatory names. it is not important. >> i enjoyed my customers, my co-workers. there are some things that do not sit well with me. in particular, i was not addressed by my name, i was known as a lady. >> the owners ignored her complaint. she was fired for insubordination. >> i was told i was causing too much, and by allegations were unfounded. >> another former employee said

weather. it is blocking tropical storm shawn. that is the middle. it looks like -- bermuda. it looks like shawn will scoot around. that will allow the big storm to approach us. it is producing a severe weather. upwards of 9 when it is reported today. that violent weather is going to weaken as the storm left out and loses its punch. a tropical storm as 50 miles per hour wind. it is going to start spending into that direction as we head into friday. it will be beginning of the over the north atlantic. with the tropical system offshore, it takes away the moisture that will feed into this approaching front. tomorrow, we get a sunny day again.
