our big story focuses on the victims of the scandal. so far nine have come forward saying they were sexy assaulted by jerry sandusky. jennifer franciotti joins us live with what parents can do to protect their children. >> good morning. experts say the more you talk to your kids, the better chance you have of knowing if something is wrong. officials with the baltimore child abuse center say 90% of kids know their abuser. there are signs to look for -- depression, sudden changes in behavior, a slip in grades, or if the child exhibits more sexualized behavior. >> if they start touching other children in class in an inappropriate way, if they start having nightmares. some children will regress, meaning they'll start having accidents and will not use the bathroom the way they used to. >> coming up, some conversations that experts say you should be having with your

recovered after being pulled from the rubble of an earthquake. 25 buildings collapsed. only three of the buildings were occupied. that six are the people were killed in the earthquake. a teenager is accused of shooting his parents. that is say the parents were found dead inside. the teenager is being charged as an adult. a police officer in or got hits another car and crashed into a house. video shows the crashed as it happens. you can see the officer collide with another driver and the cruiser gets pushed into the house. the accident happened back in september. a man was inside the home at the time.

baltimore child abuse center and says in 90% of child sex-abuse cases, the children know their abuser. >> we spend a lot of time obsessing on stranger danger, which is important, but the reality is, is we need to be concerned and we need to have a watchful eye over the people who we entrust to watch our children and spend time with, be it neighbors, coaches, clergy, family members. >> experts say there are signs to look out for such as depression, sudden changes in behavior, a slip in grades, or if the child exhibits more sexualized behavior. >> if they start touching other children in class in an inappropriate way, if they start having nightmares. some children will regress, meaning they'll start having accidents and will not use the bathroom the way they used to. >> barbara robb says if you start seeing dramatic changes in your child, it is time to start asking questions. but to prevent any type of abuse, experts say it is important to be proactive and have an open dialogue with your children. >> which adults are appropriate to be with? what actions are appropriate? what actions are inappropriate? who do they feel safe with?
