[captioning made possible by constellation energy group] we begin tonight with breaking news out of southwest baltimore, where a house fire on south fulton avenue has claimed the lives of two people. let's go to sheldon, on the scene with the latest. >> the firefighters are still

here, and active seen as they go through the homes monitoring hot spots. the neighbors say the victims were yelling for their lives from the third floor of the building, their arms hanging out, hoping that somebody could save them. >> we understand there were two people on the third floor trying to escape that did not make it, a male and female, and they both suffered smoke inhalation and expired at the scene. the police are looking for suspects after a series of attempted arson is involving molotov cocktails in northwest baltimore. the first happened after 1:31 somebody through a homemade bomb inside of the home on bellevue ave. moments later, firefighters were called to grovel and avenue after a similar device broke a window in a home there. at 3:30, a third molotov

cocktail was thrown on liberty heights avenue. >> we need to work together with neighborhoods and residents to bring these people to justice. we will hold these individuals accountable. >> in each case, the fires were put out quickly. nobody was hurt. the police believe these incidents are connected with a rash of similar incidents in september. p.g. county police say the man shot during a standoff in forresille was a suspect in the deadly shooting and outside of brunell mills mall. they say that james coleman confronted officers out around 10:00 with an ak-47 and shotgun. that is when officers shot and killed him. the police said that coleman shot and killed a man and woman in the mall parking lot at arundel mills mall. the search for suspects continues after a woman was shot

and killed in northeast baltimore. the detectives were called to the 2600 block of kentucky avenue just before 6:30. the police found the woman shot several times, no word on what led to the attack. it is anything but good will at two stores hit by robbers. officers were called the donnay store on joppa road in towson. -- officers were called to the goodwill store on joppatowne road in towson. there was another robbery and timonium. the frostburg university student who was stabbed and killed last weekend was laid to rest. the funeral services were held today for the 19-year-old, held in northwest baltimore. the graduate was murdered during an off-campus party at the western maryland university. another frostburg student faces

first and second-degree murder charges. bonus day today, a nice recovery from the past couple days. we had the rain and the cloud conditions, then cold and windy yesterday. today, plenty of sunshine, temperatures in the 60's, 62 at the airport, 64 inner harbor. the morning lows around freezing. no ran the past 24 hours. on the eighth, the really warm day, 71 degrees at the airport, then the temperature tumbled with the cold front. on veteran's day, a high of 50 degrees. it felt like 40 because of the wind gusts. it was nice as far as the son john was concerned, but it was windy and wall. bridget was nice as far as the sunshine was concerned. the temperature is continue to go up the early part of the week

but we will move on. >> there are signs it will be difficult. outside of the stadium, fans were subdued. the last home game of the season, the first in more than 60 years without the legendary coach joe paterno. >> we are all just sad for him, sat for his family. >> outside, a strong show of security. but there was a sense of giving back as volunteers collected donations for victims of abuse. inside, a show of solidarity after somber emotions continued. just before kickoff, a moment of silence in the stands, a show of support at midfield, where both teams gathered for a passionate prayer led by the nebraska assistant coach. penn state started slow, and a comeback fell short. the end of the game, at the end of a week with raw emotions.

applies a cummings was among hundreds who participated in the pilgrimage for jobs and justice -- the logic cummings. they hope that jobs generated by the profit will go to the city's unemployed. marchers also pushed for federal funding to train new employees. >> we must make sure that when products, and to the committee that as many jobs as possible go to the unemployed. i think this coalition has taken the steps necessary to get some of that money going to the training of these folks. >> organizers say more than two congregations participated in the three-mile walk.

pride uniform, which was cut to braziel in week number one. notre dame has a special helmet as well. we'll have highlights after the game on tv 11. if you think about all the scandals in college sports, nothing compares to what has happened to penn state. the charges of child sex abuse against former defensive coordinator jerry sandusky and the firing of joe paterno have rocked the diversity. today, the first time in 46 years that joe paterno was not the head coach. before the game, the players and coaches huddled on the field. assistant coach tom bradley took over for joe paterno. signs everywhere in support of the turnout. taylor martina's what the pitch. that touchdown made a 14-0.
