rapes were the victims are in their 20's within a week of each other. a 29-year-old mother was raped while her children were in a room next door. the second attack happened at less than 3 miles away early last sunday morning in the 700 block of lenox street in northwest baltimore. the 27-year-old victim was sleeping when a rapist crept into her bedroom. news of the attacks shocked neighbors in both of the communities. >> it is really unbelievable. an attack on a woman at night. >> the methodology in both crimes was very similar. they have concluded that the crimes are related because of other information that they could not reveal as well. >> the secretive his identity by placing items over the victim's face so they could not identify

him. both victims appeared to be in their late 20s. >> unfortunately, because both victims were in essence blindfolded, there were not able to get a good description of the suspect. however, police have been reviewing footage from several surveillance cameras as well as going door-to-door in communities. >> they are canvassing neighborhoods for potential witnesses and camera footage. if anyone saw anyone in the neighborhood in those early morning hours who was acting suspiciously or unfamiliar to them, please call police. >> police are reminding city residents tonight to make sure all of the windows in their homes are locked, as well as making sure the outside of their homes are well lit. anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately. >> thank you. meanwhile, baltimore county police are on the lookout for a

mike mcqueary said he saw jerry sandusky sexually molested a young boy in the shower and he spoke briefly from his home. he told the grand jury left immediately, distraught, when he witnessed the alleged assault. but then he contradicted that in an e-mail to a friend by saying, "i did stop it. my major rates stopped in the locker room." he also said he went to police. but police have no record of any conversation between mcqueary and police. adding to that, just weeks later he was at a charity event with sandusky and later participated in a golf tournament that again included sandusky. at this point, mcqueary has refused to discuss the discrepancies. >> i will not go into detail about anything. i think it is obvious i tried to
