beliefs in this town. >> tonight a local blocker speaks out on the altercation that has him and the baltimore city clerk of court in bel tonight. we will hear from frank conaway on his battle with the same blocker sameblogger. the bipartisan support committee has thrown in the towel. lawmakers said they could not make a deal to cut $1.20 trillion of red ink. the reason for the failure is nothing new. democrats push back against entitlement cuts while republicans resisted higher taxes on wealthy. president obama held a press conference where the blame game continued. >> they continue to insist on protecting tax cut for the wealthiest americans at any cost, even if it means reducing the deficit for things like

education and medical costs. >> that is not the choice. >> republicans are already angling for ways to reduce the automatic defense cuts that are set to trigger if the deal was not reached. obama warned he would veto that or any move to reduce entitlement cuts. maryland congressional delegation has responded to the gridlock today. congressman elijah cummings slammed his colleagues on the super committee, calling them out of touch. >> they have become disconnected from their constituents. i am so glad that our leaders are very much connected. >> maryland u.s. senators also responded. senator barbara mikulski road, members of the super committee on deficit reduction were given an impossible mandate with an impossible time line, and they truly pursued their charged with

due diligence. i am disappointed that we could not reach a bipartisan agreement. center been garden offered a different opinion, saying this was doable and the american people are justified in being disappointed that the super committee could not put aside partisan differences to seek a compromise that will create jobs, stimulate future economic growth, and reduce our federal budget deficit. the super committee waited until trading closed on wall street to make the impasse official, but by then, the damage had already been done. the dow lost almost 250. on the day and at one point was down 342. . as leaders debate how to cut federal dollars, baltimore announced it has received $3.50 million in grant money from the u.s. to permit housing and urban development. they say the goal is to make the region more competitive economically by connecting good jobs and quality schools and

transportation. >> these funds will insure this region and 28 others across the country are connecting housing to jobs, providing transportation options for families, and generating the economic broke they need to win the future. >> leader said the regional plan in baltimore will follow and a phased process over the next three years. 28 other regions receive grants totaling more than $97 million. a feud between the longtime baltimore politician and dayblogger boiled over and threatened to turn physical today. the baltimore city clerk of court, frank conaway, pulled a gun during the dispute. >> the conaway is on the home behind me here on liberty heights avenue and everyday pedestrians and drivers it did today adammeister came by and he

has been taking aim at frank conaway for some time now and his political family. conaway said he believesthe blogger is going out of his way to hurt him. >> this home on liberty heights avenue is that the height of a bitter feud between frank conaway and blogger adam meister. >> that almost came to blows between a passing car. >> the claim that conaway and his daughter linda do not actually live in the northwest baltimore on. the residents the question likely cost blanda conaway hurt city council post this year. the 35-year-old blogger said he was jogging past the liberty heights on monday when he encountered frank conaway. >> i saw the guy walked down the path. he was leaving his house at

10:30. he was leaving his house at 10:30 wearing a suit on monday morning. i thought this was odd. >> conaway set meister went on to threaten his family. >> those are pretty heavy threat. >> the we are yelling back and forth and he is getting closer and closer. we are no longer in front of his house, and he lunges at me. he did not hit me. look at me, i am in great shape. >> if i had taken a swing, i would have hit him. >> the argument got the attention of two police officers who were on their way to a call. >> i am not saying whether i had a gun or not. absolutely not. i could have taken care of him

otherwise. >> meister said he turned his back to conaway and ran away from the fight just to end it, so if there was a gun, he never saw it. no one is charged with the crime, but police are investigating both parties. >> the search continues for an accused murderer who was mistakenly released from prison. 24-year-old frederick scott walked away free friday after posting bond, but officials say scott is facing first-degree murder charges and was not eligible to bail himself out. prince george's county authorities say it appears to be a clerical error. anyone with information is asked to call police immediately. 10 days ago we asked if baltimore county goodwill stores are being targeted, and tonight it seems to be the case. police are now investigating a four robbery at the goodwill in timonium. kai reed joins us live with the very latest. >> after those first three

robberies, goodwill officials told us they are adding security in taking some extra precautions, but then this store here in timonium was hit again around 8:00 on friday night. >> i am just shocked that they are targeting goodwill. it is a terrible place. why would they go after that? >> the goodwill store in timonium was full of customers and employees friday night when a man wearing a mask walked in. it was the second robbery of the store in a week, and the fourth robbery of a goodwill store in baltimore county in the past 10 days. >> it is surprising that people would think about robbing the kind of store. >> the first robbery at the timonium store was on november 11. another goodwill store in towson was also recently rocked twice. the suspect had a gun in all

four cases. >> at this point, we are not sure why those two stores have been targeted not once but twice. we are looking for any possible connection between previous employees, a disgruntled customer, or they may simply be targets of random violence. >> goodwill stores operate primarily on donations. revenue from the stores is used to reach out to the community. goodwill operates 26 stores in the baltimore area. >> as an increase for people needing services go up, that means -- it takes away from our ability to help people. >> police areot saying how much the suspects in the robbery got away with. a suspect is still on the run. investigators say there are similarities and all four robberies and have increased patrols at all locations. >> we are aware of the community and customer concerns about shopping at these locations.

we want all our customers to feel safe as the holiday season approaches. >> police say it is likely that the two house and robberies are related. they are looking at the possibility that the two in timonium are connected to those as well. they are asking for anyone with information to call baltimore county police immediately. kai reed, wbal-tv 11 news. >> it was a milestone in maryland today, the completion of another leg of the intercounty connector, or icc. lt. governor anthony brown held the official ribbon cutting ceremony. it connects i-95 with interstate 270 in montgomery county. the icc chief says things are moving as planned. >> we certainly have a lot of ups and downs, but when we started construction, we made a commitment to be on time and on budget. i am proud to stand here today

has indicated a newspaper that is not owned by rupert murdoch in the hacking scandal. seeking out great customer service at stores in the baltimore area. this time around, we ask for your experiences and recommendations. tonight, lisa robinson as your customer service tips. >> this store is known for its wide selection of special occasion dresses, and they have great customer service, according to a viewer cindy jacobson. the owner stocks more than 2000 dresses from size 00 to women size 30. when she burst open a store, she had a limited selection of downs, and two gone women ended up choosing the same address for the same event. >> we cannot let that happen again.

if you ask them if it looks good, they are completely honest. it is like shopping with a girlfriend. >> there are just so many styles and trends out now, but not everything looks great on the same person. >> the manager says it is all about having fun putting out its together for customers and making them feel good about themselves. >> honesty is good customer service. >> many viewers raved about nordstrom's customer service. we were surprised nordstrom did not want to speak on camera, but they sent a statement saying it is important that we stay humble on the subject. while we are flattered to hear that we may have a positive reputation with customers, we think it important that we try to stay focused on getting better at service rather than providing comment about it.

depot and the new rue 21 store at east point mall. dozens of facebook friends could not say enough about the exceptional customer service at check fillet restaurant. we met york barber mills and c thehik-fil-a. >> they make you feel like it is pleasure for them to serve you. >> that last touchdown maybe cry. >> the owner operator says they hire people who are generally interested in other people and who love to serve. the restaurant employees lot of high school and college kids. management set expectations high for them and hold them accountable. >> we see them for who they are

warmer than normal today, but temperatures have been going down since the cold front went through. the lows or the cool temperatures for the day. some chilly air down the coast contrast to the southern part of the state. off and on clouds and showers and fog developing. it is going to be wet in the morning, ranging from 43-50. son up at 6:58. high-pressure tries to deliver some cool air, a storm coming and with other planes, but showers and storms moving in our direction. you will see a lot of rain across the state tomorrow, probably a little heavier than the rain we had today. on wednesday there may be a cluster of thunderstorms just to the southeast of baltimore. wednesday night, the rain showers began to taper off in the evening and finally clear out later wednesday night. thanksgiving day, the sunshine
