starts at 7 pm with a 'countdown to kickoff' ...which starts at 8:20...at m-and-t bank stadium. baltimore county police are investigating a 'suspicious' death in pheonix. a police helicopter assisting in the search for a missing person spotted a burned out car -- in the 13-hundred block of phoenix road ... and officers found a body inside. the discovery was made around 9 this morning. david collins joins us now live from baltimore county police headquarters with details. baltimore county police cars are a rare sight on phoenix road

police to see if i could figure out more information and they told me they were looking for a missing person. >> the helicopter crew spotted a burned vehicle somewhere beyond this field of corn. inside the vehicle, the authorities found the body of a woman who was born. -- who was burned. the woman is the person -- they're looking into the possibility she was the woman reported missing earlier.

arson personnel are still investigating the cause of the vehicle fire. there are large homes on huge slots in this stretch of phoenix wrote. a police investigation is not only rare but unsettling. >> this area is isolated and there are never any problems whatsoever. i feel very comfortable living here. >> until the autopsy results are in and the arson team is finished, police are not ruling anything out, including an accidental death. >> baltimore city police are looking for a shooting suspect -- a 43-year-old man was shot this afternoon in the 25th block -- 2500 block of wood revenue. the man was shot in the shoulder and is in hospital in stable condition. for people recovering tonight from a crash that shut down part of the beltway for much of the morning. it happened on the inner loop as

it needs interstate 83. three cars collided, sending four people to area hospitals. police shut down the road for about an hour-and-a-half. erev thanksgiving people for some people -- their power went out as they were cooking thanksgiving dinner. a poll split band fell on some wires at around 8:30 this morning. hundreds of customers were without power. >> my of and went off and my turkey is just sitting there. -- my oven went off and my turkey is sitting there. it exploded three times and actually fell. >> we caught up with her around noon today. the power is back on now but unfortunately the damage may be done. >> i have never kept turkey on the grill before -- i have never

cooked turkey on the grill before. >> 700 customers were affected by the outage. a thanksgiving tradition at university of maryland baltimore -- students from the school of medicine were organizing a dinner for the homeless for 22 years now. students passed out more than food. a handout close, toiletries and non-perishable goods. they say it's a great reminder of what is important this thanksgiving day holiday. >> i woke up and took a warm shower and after this i will go home and eat a warm meal with my parents. i know that these people are not going to have that opportunity. >> students served about 400 people for that event. volunteers from the salvation army also handed out thanksgiving treats today. dinner was served in hampton and dozens of people gathered to get turkey and all of the fixings. the salvation army is expected

to serve a record number of meals this year. some runners turned their turkeys tonight. the green valley turkey trot got under way bright and early this morning. the event kick off at 8:00 with a 5 mile run or 3 mile walk. there was a canned food drive and the money raised will help to benefit medical research. the ravens aren't the only one playing football. up next, highlights from the big match up. shopping on thanksgiving may not sound like fun to some people but we found shoppers actually lined up for pre-black friday action. >> it is a baltimore thanksgiving tradition -- that story coming up. >> it was a nice thanksgiving day to day as far as the weather is concerned. we will talk about the weekend coming up in just a minute. there is the stadium ready for the big game. temperatures at the airport 54

>> all those she is no longer with us, a thanksgiving tradition was continued in her honor. the annual thanksgiving meal is a true blessing for those in need. >> it all started in 1981. 30 years later and she would be so proud. outside, the line spread for block says hundreds came for what has become a baltimore tradition. >> what does this meal mean to you? >> belote. i was laid off from work and i have nothing.

and she gave me a meal. >> there was a cake in the center of the room honoring the 30th anniversary covered with photos. >> 30 years, isn't that wonderful? i think she is looking down at us saying go kids. >> the hundreds of volunteers to show up every year makes this meal happen. >> why do they do it? >> i've been doing this since 2004 and i love it. it's a beautiful thing. >> its important to help people to do something not only for people but for our country. >> this is the ultimate. this is what we should be doing the other 364 days a year. >> and this is the day the lord has made. volunteers, thank you very much.

>> at 11:30, dinner was served. one of those serving was the mayor. >> there are hundreds of people in line today that need a hand and i'm grateful to be able to be down here with so many other people who just want to give back. >> a 30-year baltimore tradition continues. >> some black friday deals are starting a day early. diehard shoppers are passing on thanksgiving dinner just to open up. some shoppers have been camped out since tuesday. many are waiting in line for the discount electronics going for only $200. shoppers are braving the chilly temperatures for days without a bathroom. >> that's the question i have for the people sitting out here -- what do you do when you have to relieve yourself? >> and our answer is --

>> anywhere. >> target also opens at midnight. the gap opens at 9:00 tonight. >> see all of those sunny pictures out there? not a record breaker but a beautiful recovery after all that rain. some areas got 6 inches of rain yesterday and the day before. if we look at our radar, nothing even close to us. unsettled weather from the rocky mountain west toward. if you look at pictures, there is radar data there. in washington state, rain at the lower elevations. in the desert southwest, they are getting showers. but if you moved east, clean as a whistle here. a lot of sun and nice temperatures.

at the airport, admitted to 60. inner harbor, 62. we are going to do it all over again for the next couple of days. 52 in annapolis. on the boardwalk, 44. temperatures in garrett county have dropped to 37 degrees. there is the stadium. a few clouds in pennsylvania and new york state. remnants of that activity that occurred over the last couple of days. this high pressure will control the situation into the weekend. some of this unsettled weather will start sneaking in. ahead of the next storm out west, we do see some warm air. if you thought was nice today, waitntil this starts slipping in. a little chilly tonight. clear skies and winds nearly

column. unseasonably mild. today was nice but tomorrow, mid-60s and some cases upper 60s. plenty of sunshine and a southwest breeze. you could not ask for a better day. sunset is just about quarter to five. the mountains will be in the '50s but everyone else in the '60s. southwest winds on the day and a 1 foot shop. 53, 52 and 50 are the bay water temperatures. they are cooling down with the cold temperatures. a nice trend here -- beautiful tomorrow, 65 for the high. on saturday, still in the '60s. picking off a few stray clouds. by the end of the day sunday, at some point, we could see some

showers. monday morning, a chance for rain could linger into the afternoon. overnight sunday into monday, may be some heavy rain. it will be dry after monday next week. >> we are about two hours away from kickoff between the raiders and forty-niners. happy thanksgiving, everybody. it is a historic night with brothers coaching against each other in the nfl for the first time. john was always focused one week a time but even knowing the historic import of this one, he took some moments to get reflective. >> i'm thankful for the opportunity that one guy was given a chance to do this. we are going to come bouncing back excited to go to work again

aaron rogers to james jones -- we knew that what happened. i picked james jones for my fantasy team. 65 yards for the touchdown. how about the turkey ball? typically played here but instead it that johnny unitas stadium. the calvert hall grad checking out -- he is so very talented. cardinals with a 21-10 lead. ryan black pounces way in to 2 yards out. fourth quarter -- defense is a nice thing to have. the pass -- doesn't quite score but good enough.
