little taste of what you hear on both sidelines, the coaches and players on this thanksgiving night matchup of brothers. a kick return would be helpful, a positive start to the next drive, but the kick is deep. try it anyway. ted ginn will bring it from 6 yards deep. ted ginn jr., a couple more guys and we might have had some excitement. got 38 yards, the way it was, eight sacks by the ravens' defense, a season high and the franchise record is only one more. and that guy last led the way, suggs. and this guy has been the recipient, unfortunately, if you're a 49er fan, alex smith. >> mike: yeah, what a great game plan by chuck pagano. remember, adam snyder, the starting right guard has been out the entire second half. the backup, former second round

check down but you have to move quickly, fellows. >> brad: two time-outs for the 49ers. two-minute warning will stop it for them and more importantly they need to pick up the first down and almost intercepted broken up intended for crabtree. and now it's fourth down. >> mike: just cannot protect their quarterback, three-man rush this time. it's still a heavy rush. good job by lardarius webb breaking on the football. >> brad: 49ers are going for it. have to. have to. >> mike: ball game right here, brad nessler. >> brad: fourth down and four. they've got to get to the 41 yard line. >> mike: he's blitzed all night long. i don't know why chuck pagano wouldn't blitz him again. >> brad: who's got number 55. in his track stance. smith, empty backfield. fourth down. quick throw is complete. is it a first down? no. they gave it to him.
11:03 pm

>> brad: i think so too. number 55 could probably eat that in one entire sitting. john harbaugh has challenged the spot on that pass completion to braylon edwards. we'll find out if he wins it or not when we come back.
11:07 pm
>> brad: here's another look at the catch by braylon edwards in the spot that he gets and the reason john harbaugh has challenged. >> mike: remember, the yellow lines virtual reality. it's not official. right on top of it. however, the spot was a good two feet beyond it >> referee: after review the play stands as called on the

field, baltimore will be charged with a time-out. >> brad: that means baltimore charged with a time-out. down to one and the drive continues. >> mike: the reason it was worth it, brad, is obvious. if they win it, the game is over. >> brad: yeah. so first down, 49ers. we're not done yet, two minutes remaining, niners have two of their time-outs left. the game has been a game of defense, the ravens defense have the ability as they've done all night to stop the 49ers. smith, got away from the rush this time. and he got three or four yards out of it. >> mike: brendon ayanbadejo did a great job nickel linebacker making that open field tackle and because he got him down in bounds, the clock keeps rolling. >> brad: wide receivers for the 49ers have been a nonfactor tonight with the exception of
11:09 pm
the one that was called back, the 75-yarder to ted ginn due to an illegal block. smith just has to get rid of this one. >> mike: i don't know. that didn't get to the line of scrimmage. >> brad: i don't think he got out of the pocket either, did he? >> mike: and was there a receiver in the area. >> brad: there's the flag. >> mike: there it is. >> brad: loss of down. >> mike: going back to what you said a minute ago. >> referee: intentional grounding, number 11, quarterback was -- >> mike: all starts up front. this is a jailbreak. they're bringing four guys, brad. look at that. i mean -- >> brad: herb has been relentless. >> mike: relentless, played so well up front. kruger, two of my favorite players on tape are kruger and mcphee. two young guys who have made a difference but, of course, t. sizzle has been there all night long and for the last nine years. >> brad: that pudding pie might
11:10 pm
be terrell suggs'. i remember ed reed telling us he's going to eat with the family tonight and said i'm having sweet potato pie. going to be a lot sweet are if they win the game. and out to the 40 is davis, shut out this half until right there. >> mike: they can't protect him well enough to even get the football down the field to challenge the defense back. >> brad: and time-out with 1:21 and the 49ers are down to a time-out. >> mike: i'm giving the pudding pie to the whole front. forget one guy. the whole front gets pudding pie and it's on mayock. >> brad: ten-point game with 1:21 remaining. next week we'll be in seattle. lesean mccoy hanging on by a thread. they go to a tough place to play, marshawn lynch and the seahawks lay in wait. eagles/seahawks next thursday 8:00 eastern on nfl network.

11:12 pm
>> brad: sort of leaned back to the middle of the field to use his body to shield the defender and didn't catch the ball. and now joe flacco takes a knee. and the older harbaugh is a little over a minute away from standing a little taller next to little brother. and it's only going to be the second loss of the season for the 49ers. you know what, who's got it better than us? you always say that to me. >> mike: i do. >> brad: going to be nobody. >> mike: nobody! >> brad: i saw a sign earlier that said we have the better harbaugh and it was written in purple. i don't think either one of them are very bat. they're both good. >> mike: look at the sideline. they all know no matter how much john and jimmy -- it was about the players and respective franchises. at the end of the day there's sibling rivalry. >> brad: it's too self-centered to keep talking about my brother and myself, it's my team against his team and john admitted to us, you know, it has been rough.
11:13 pm
it's been rough on jimmy. it's been rough on me. there's been a lot of buildup since the schedule came out way back months ago, everybody looked at this game and said it's going to be history, but then more importantly they both came in as divisional leaders and that made it that much bigger tonight so one harbaugh is going to be happy. i know jack and jackie are down somewhere in the bowels of the stadium. the other son will have a long trip home and has the second best team in the nfc. >> mike: let's check this out. this has to be sweet. >> brad: 16-6, ravens win as the brothers will meet at midfield. >> i love you too. you're a great competitor. >> brad: quick hug and it seemed like jim said, i love you too. i think that's what he said. >> mike: i love you too. you guys played well. >> brad: that's what you say to your brother on thanksgiving. i love you.
11:14 pm
love the game. hard hitting in the end, the ravens had a little bit more than theniners and go to 8-3 and that keeps them in first place in the afc north. the niners with a loss still in first place and close to clinching in the nfc west. tough ball game on this thanksgiving night. john, just a little bit greater than jim this particular occasion. got to have a mathematician in every crowd. >> mike: nice job by you too. you even dropped taxidermy in there too. >> brad: historic night and it's been fun we got alex and our whole crew part of it. >> mike: yeah. >> brad: a hard-fought ten-point wing. the long week and long wait is over for the harbaugh brothers and john, the older by 15
11:15 pm
