the holiday shopping season has of -- on 11 news at 5:00. the holiday shopping season has officially started with the mad rush of black friday. kim dacey is at a store in timonium with more. >> the doors open and people flooded into stores like best buy, toys "r" us, and wal-mart. looking for those black friday sales. >> wal-mart was a little crazy. elbow shuffling and tackling. >> everyone was excited when we opened up. >> this year, most of the big box stores open at midnight, or even earlier on thanksgiving night, to give shoppers the extra time to pick up the early bird deals. >> my sister and her kids went out last night. they did great. some of the things i look for that they got last night. >> store managers call it a

to cross theis on last thing of the holiday shopping list. >> black friday got off to a disastrous start in los angeles after a customer used pepper spray it at a crowd in a wal- mart. a woman sprayed and her fellow shoppers late last night as the crowd rushed in for a deal on a video games. firefighters treated 15 to 20 people for injuries from a burning eyes to difficulty breathing. >> i was shocked into a box of games, and all of a sudden, this lady came out with pepper spray. brother was sprayed in the face point-blank. >> the store was evacuated, but people were eventually left back inside to continue shopping. investigators say the bomb and fled during the chaos. police are looking at -- investigators say the woman fled during the chaos.

mid-60's. let's look at some of the temperatures around baltimore area right now. downtown, 67 at b.w.i. out in westminster, they are a little chilly at 59. gaithersburg, 63. doughty said the maryland, 60 in -- down to 60 i in southern maryland, 60 in la plata. if you are heading to do shopping this afternoon, a great day to do it. temperatures 65 to 70 degrees. macy's 71 or 72 in some spots south of the area. should be a delightful day. tonight, if you are going to get out, mostly clear and cool. stay out of the southwest, five miles per hour, might need into a jacket but no right to speak of. this morning we had three different high-pressure pieces that were in here. now we only have two. you have the clockwise flow

bringing up warm air from the gulf. then you have this cold front here that is kind of locking all this into place. the warm air coming up, is just delightful during this time of year. every unusual. temperatures about 10 to 12 degrees above normal. this is the system we're watching that will bring us some rain going to sunday evening and monday morning. unfortunately, it could be an extensive rain into the overnight sunday and into monday, something similar to what we saw earlier this week. futurecast will show all of these clouds moving and it probably sometime around late -- early saturday morning to sunday afternoon. this is around for :. we can see the clouds moving in. this is the moisture behind it. spotty showers in the area as we head into monday morning. this is something we look for. on and off showers heading into monday morning's rush-hour did something that, unfortunately, just happens this time of year. at least it is not snow. we saw that in october. forget that stuff.

we will take the rain. 67 in southern pennsylvania. at the eastern shore, they in the mid-60's. up into the mountains, they will be topping out at 58 to 59 degrees tomorrow looks about a repeat of today. the system moves in sunday night. 70% chance into the morning hours on monday. once that moves through, it covers will drop drastically into the lower 50s. then we are even cooler on tuesday. the high pressure builds up behind it, bringing with it when the conditions on wednesday. temperatures will only topknot around 50 degrees -- top out around 50 degrees. >> in the "medical alert," teenagers and a treatment for substance abuse may be less likely to relapse when they have the opportunity to help others. researchers examined several
