decided. his attorney says his client committed no crime. jayne miller is covering the trial a lot of the latest tonight. the search continues for whoever vandalized a middle river neighborhood. >> kim dacey is live the police headquarters with more on the damage done. good morning. >> police think the vandals struck overnight from saturday into sunday morning in the 3700 block on holly grove road in middle river. residents say it is usually a nice neighborhood and they have had no major problems. but yesterday they woke to find a swastika and other messages spray-painted on several cars and fences. those residents are upset by the incident. they spent a lot of the day sunday trying to undo the damage. police don't have a description of the suspects. neighbors think it may be a group of teenagers they have seen around the area. >> these kids -- there's a lot of better things that you can be doing with your time than

vandalizing people's property. someday they will understand what it's like to own something and have somebody ruin it. >> we have one single -- or double lines painted across the cars. nothing -- no major damage. it generally comes off. but it's more of an inconvenience than anything. >> police don't think the incident is hate-related. anyone with information is asked to call baltimore county police. reporting live in towson, kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you. dale audet remains in serious condition after last friday's deadly crash. loved ones gathered to remember the victims killed in the crash, jeffery giles and jonathon deckman. it was late friday night when the three teenagers were driving on lawyers hill road and slammed into a tree. >> none of us knew anything what happened that night. see

this happened on 4:00 a.m. on sunday morning. two women in the home were taken to the hospital while a third escaped unharmed. >> it is always a tragedy when somebody dies in a fire. it does take a toll on our firefighters and paramedics to do that kind of work. >> one firefighter suffered bad burns while fighting that fire. crews were called to a home on riverside drive just after 5:00 on sunday evening. a woman and three firefighters were taken to the hospital for treatment. >> the thanksgiving recess is over. lawmakers return to a hefty workload. the super committee failed to come up with a plan to cut the deficit. tara mergener joins us live with that story.

asked to call baltimore county police. reporting live in towson, kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. note're told foul play is suspected in the death of an inmate. deputies arrested michael malpass back on november 18 and charged him with the robberies of three area convenience stores. he was found dead in his cell. police said he had been isolated for medical reasons. a hometown hero is honored. dr. benjamin carson was dedicated downtown. the room serves as a tribute to the renowned neurosurgeon's mother sonia. this is one of 65 reading rooms across the country. >> special arrival at the airport. it was not a flight.

marie who is at a christmas tree farm in perry hall. tis the season. >> you have to look outside. it is spectacular. we're at the frostee tree farm. what a great experience to get a fresh cut christmas tree. >> alot of people, every year and the people that are coming to get a tree want to get a real treat. some of it is because of the promotion to buy local and to buy a real tree. it is good for the environment. you can have it mulched. sometimes they picked up for you. baltimore city does it also. they will mulch it for you.
