for dead. tonight, police tell us thanks to dna evidence, they were able to solve this case rather quickly. >> there is really no other way to describe the individual that and other animal. >> baltimore police pleased to have an alleged child rapist off the street, but still bothered by the circumstances surrounding the rest of 61- rolled alan wright sr.. police say he kidnapped a 13- year-old female victim as she was walking in the 1800 block of north caroline street and then dragged her into unit 825, which was vacant. >> she was forced into an abandoned row home. she felt for the first four into the basement. the suspect then came in and viciously attacked and sexually assaulted her, and then later fled on foot. >> according to the police report, the victim, who had been raped multiple times, had to stack multiple pieces of wood up

to climb out of the unit, before going -- before going home and calling police. it was given priority status because of the nature of the crime. the dna matched alvin wright. >> his dna profile within the database from a prior conviction. we took the evidence from the scene and put it into the data base, and it matched up. >> wright was arrested without incident on november 23. word traveled fast about the rest. >> i am happy that they caught him. he needed it. that was my friend that he did that too. she was my best friend. now she doesn't come outside anymore. >> wright is facing 10 counts

including first and second- degree rape, first and second- degree assault and kidnapping. if convicted, he faces up to life in prison and is currently being held without bond. lowell melser, wbal-tv 11 news. >> meanwhile, authorities in baltimore city say there has been another case of a police impersonation and tonight the want everyone in the southeast district to be alert. the cases are happening between 10:00 at night and to block in the morning in the patterson park area of the city. police say the imposters or not actually wearing uniforms but telling victims they are with law enforcement. >> the individuals are dressed in plain clothes. they have badges around their necks and are identifying themselves as baltimore police. they are approaching their victims at gunpoint and robbing them of cash and currency. >> police say they are looking for a dark colored as you be

the month is ever an almost 3.5 degrees warmer than normal. that is an unusually warm november. the lows this morning or in the 40's and vicki's. the normal high is only 51. -- in the 40's and 50's. it is going to change a little bit. we may finish up november with cooler temperatures coming in. it looks like december will start a little on the chilly side, but for now it is mile. south into anne arundel county and a cross over to the day, temperatures in the low to mid- 60's. 68 in salt very right now -- 68 in southbury right now. frostburg in the mid-50s right now. there is a storm looking to the south and west and the cloud cover associated with that will result in some fog. as the clouds and fog increased, temperatures will hold on the mild side. 50-57 for lows tonight.

we are above normal highs for our nighttime lows. we are in a strange weather pattern. the cold air on the other side of the storm is producing some snow in western tennessee, perhaps even in parts of northern mississippi and alabama tonight as the storm rose three. temperatures over here in western tennessee -- as the storm rolls through. this whole system is going to track through the mid-atlantic and bring with that the clouds, rain, and eventually some of the cooler air that will filter into our region as well. there are clouds making its way through mississippi and western north carolina. the rain will mix with or changeover to some wet snow, what we get into some heavy or moderate rain coming for central maryland tomorrow afternoon. as the storm lives to the northeast, the cool air comes in. snow showers are likely up and down the appalachian mountains.

been insulted by the former assistant coach. the letter seems to be viewed from a man incarcerated and oklahoma. the team with the u.s. department of education arrived at the state college today as part of a federal probe into the university. meanwhile, a similar child sex abuse scandal has rocked syracuse university. the allegations concern former ku basketball coach bernie fine. >> a 10-rolle course recording of his wife emerged in which she is talking about -- a 10-year- old recording of his life emerge in which she is talking about the abuse. >> an alleged third victim came forward accusing him of sexual abuse. the coach had already been placed on administrative leave following allegations from two stepbrothers. the head basketball coach called the new allegations disturbing

a man has been charged with the kidnapping and rape of a 13- year-old baltimore girl last month. alvin wright to was linked to the crime through dna evidence. the girl was walking to a friend's house on october 17 on north carolina straight -- north caroline street when police say wright pulled her into an abandoned home and attacked her. there are a series of kidnappings and robberies in montgomery county all targeting older men. all three cases begin at the west will wheaton shopping center in the middle of the day, forcing victims to take money out of the atm's. the 77-year-old victim was attacked by a man with a box cutter. the man was ordered into his car and driven to a bank machine. police say the man was cut and beaten during the kidnapping. the do not have a sense -- description of the suspect. >> a frostburg state university

student has been indicted on a first-degree murder charge in the fatal stabbing of another student. the indictment of the 23-year- old was announced on monday. an allegheny county grand jury issued the indictment charging her with murdering courtney mccoy. she told police that someone else stabbed mccoy. her initial appearance in court is set for december 20. president obama warned today of failure by europe to contain its worsening debt crisis could cost american jobs. steve handelsman has the story tonight from washington. concern that europe's debt crisis could drag down the american economy, president obama urged the president of the european council and european commission to take bold action right now. >> europe is having difficulties and is much more
