been wreaking havoc on the rain all morning long. the city police are investigating a crash between a special needs school bus and another vehicle. they collided along with 600 block of east 28th street. six of the children on the bus were taken to johns hopkins. we are told the driver of other -- the other vehicle was treated for chest pains. minutes before, a bus collided with another vehicle that frisbee treat -- street and 33rd. victims from both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non- life threatening injuries. mta police are now handling that investigation. police in and around county are investigating a series -- serious accident. a car overturned when it collided with a truck at 8:30 this morning. one person had to be cut from the car and was taken to the m rundle medical center with life- threatening injuries. officials are trying to determine what sparked a to

alarm fire in carroll county that claimed the life of an 80- year-old man. firefighters responded to the 3000 block of old washington road this morning. and officials did not identify the victim, but said that he was the grandfather of a family of six staying at the house. the other family members managed to escape the home. >> it started off as a quiet day, but now we have rain. a lot of accidents out there, but things are currently missing as a new batch of rain moves in. gusting wind up to 32 miles per hour. as we take you through the afternoon, we are expecting steady rain until 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., with scattered showers throughout the evening hours. we will time out the seven day, when we come back. >> we will check back. the northbound lanes about the road remain closed as crews

50's in marshall. even colder air, 40's, is coming in behind our latest cold front. there is a batch of rain that we have that is heaviest over washington, d.c., moving towards the northeast, all of it associated with a tricky storm system that we have had our eye on for the last couple of days. not only has it been a slow mover, it has begun to wrap within itself across the southeast. it has brought in very cold air. for that reason, it brought unbelievably cold temperatures to the southeast. snow reported as far south as alabama and northern portions of georgia. very unusual for this time of year. fortunately, it is just a rain event. you can see the cold air coming in behind the storm system. currently, 38 in atlanta. 38 in st. louis as well. these temperatures will be dropping down as this storm system moves in.
