traffic moving without delay. this is the harrisburg expressway. watch for the delays approaching mount carmel with that fuel spill. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> police have begun sweeping out demonstrators supporting the occupied wall street movement. police began evicting protesters in philadelphia and removing tents. those protesters then took to the streets in an impromptu marched around city hall. no arrests have been reported. this was the scene over los angeles as police began to the arrest protesters. about 500 tents remained after the monday deadline came and

went. outrage over a confrontation between a student and teacher in baltimore county and a special education school. >> it has gone viral on youtube. kim dacey is live with more. good morning. >> the video was taken in september outside the youth in transition school in baltimore county, run by the national center on institutions and alternatives. it is a private school, described on their website as a special education school, focusing on students with autism and emotional and intellectual disabilities. the video showing a confrontation between a student and teacher was posted on youtube and has gotten at least 20,000 hits and sparked thousands of comments, both in support of and critical of the teacher. the dispute turned physical after the teacher goes inside at one point, then comes back. >> you need to look me in the eyes when you speak. yeah. yeah, exactly. exactly! what's up -- that's what i need -- that's what i need from you.

>> in a statement, school officials said, "we terminated the instructor and we contacted baltimore city child protection services. that official told 11 news the school only filed that about the incident when the video was posted on youtube. the student was 17 at the time and never reported the incident to the school. kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> officials considering the punishment for a 10th grader at pauley high school -- poly high school after he reportedly brought a gun to school. officials investigating reports of a sexual assault of a student. a male student assaulted a female student inside one of the bathrooms at gruntal high school. they believe the victim knows her alleged attacker. >> it is still early. we believe the suspect and victim are known to each other.

it was reported as a sexual assault inside the bathroom at around high school. >> administrators are taking the appropriate measures to handle the incident. a man sits behind bars on $125,000 bond accused of multiple burglaries in howard county. police believe craig webster is responsible. he reportedly was trying to use a credit card stolen from an academy. he may be responsible for other robberies for other churches in the area. >> a man at the center of the woman's disappearance is a free man. gary giordano was released after prosecutors failed to produce enough evidence to hold him any longer. he said robyn gardner disappeared during a snorkeling trip. >> police are investigating a

possible carjacking and shooting in northwest baltimore. it happened at about 10:30. details are still sketchy at this hour. the search continues for a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting in southwest baltimore. police arrived on the scene around 7:45 tuesday night. the 29-year-old victim was shot in the head and was taken to shock trauma was pronounced dead minutes later. >> lawmakers on both sides of the aisle want to extend payroll tax cuts for millions of americans. tara mergener examines where they stand. >> both parties agree this tax cut could be good for the economy. they disagree on how to foot the

bill. in a move that may help avert another bitter battle on capitol hill, congressional republicans now say they may support an extension of the payroll tax cut. >> in all likelihood we will agree to continue the current payroll tax relief for another year, but we believe that it should be paid for. >> gop leaders say they will unveil a bill this week to extend the cuts for one year. but without imposing a surtax on wealthier americans, which democrats support. >> this is a 3.25% tax on people who make more than $1 million. we don't tax the first million dollars. i think it is fare. -- fair. >> this would keep cuts in place for another year and produce the payroll taxes by another 1%, giving middle-class families up to $1,500 more in their paychecks next year. >> it is important to divide

the big storm is pulling away to the northeast. we have a west wind that is bringing in some chilly air. we will stay dry. we were around 60 yesterday. it will feel more like it should this time of year. at least all the rain is gone. we have some snow on the backside. if you drive into western maryland, into allegany and garrett counties, there could be a mix of rain and snow and the higher elevations, there could be sent-no accumulations. keep that in mind if you're driving west of baltimore. we will see a few stray clouds from the mountains and pennsylvania. 41 at the airport. it feels about five degrees cooler because of the breeze. dress for temperatures in the 30's.
