shot by another officer on the job. it all unfold around 2:00 this afternoon and the multi jurisdictional task force was serving a search warrant in odenton. kai reed is live at shock trauma with the injured -- where the injured officer was taken. >> the officer is being treated here at shock trauma tonight. the task force was at home in odenton, doing an ongoing drug investigation when the detective was hit by fairport -- by friendly fire. it all started with the drug investigation around 2:15 monday afternoon. officers with the multi jurisdictional task force began searching the inside of a home. suddenly, baltimore city police officer was shot in the alarm, and according to investigators, it came from baltimore county police officer's gun that discharged by mistake. >> i heard people yelling and i saw police go in the house. >> when the gun shot went off,

the first thing i thought about was, is anybody outside. they are always out here just running around and playing. >> it is crazy thinking this kind of thing happens down the street from you. >> the officer was rushed to shock trauma with non life- threatening injuries. he is expected to make a full recovery. police spent several hours investigating after the shooting. >> investigation is being conducted by the anne arundel county criminal investigation division. we are treating it as an accidental shooting at the time. >> a woman who lives at the house was home at the time, but there were no additional injuries. >> it is quite neighborhood, a great neighborhood for children and families. i am just devastated that something like this could go on right here. >> the maryland state police drug task force includes of service from baltimore county, baltimore city, and anne arundel county. the suspect, 38-year-old vernon jackson. police recovered marijuana and

$900 in cash from the home. kai reed, wbal-tv 11 news. >> a florida man is behind bars tonight after officials say he impersonated a baltimore city police officer. investigators say thomas barbour approach to home wearing a police windbreaker. he revealed a gun which -- during a struggle between bartlett and the victim. there is no word on how he obtained that windbreaker. investigators are looking into the stabbing at the occupy encampment in downtown baltimore. 23-year-old deseret nicholson was arrested after deputies say she kicked a female in the stomach and then stabbed her on her arm and thigh. it happened just after midnight monday. investigators believe a dispute over a cat is what led to the violence. the search continues for a middle river man who has been missing out since friday. investigators say 35-year-old

charles duckett disappeared at the triadelphia reservoir. so far crews have found no signs of him. investigators say the three alarms are the displaced nearly 100 people in northwest baltimore was accidental. fire officials say an unattended teapot on the stove caused the fire on red cedar place. firefighters were on the scene around 11:00 friday night and say there were heavy claims on the fourth floor. as a safety precaution, approximately 50 units were evacuated. residents were allowed back into their homes earlier today. >> i have all my windows open and my fan going. >> no injuries have been reported. investigators say the fire caused $280,000 in damages.

one person is dead and three firefighters are recovering after a fire. the unidentified victim was found inside the home on kaline and club drive. it took 75 firefighters an hour to get that are under control. damages estimated at $550,000. there is no word on what sparked the blaze. officials in prince george's county are trying to figure out what caused the tanker truck carrying 9,000 gallons of fuel to flip over. it happened around 9:45 tonight on route 301. we are told the driver suffered minor injuries. authorities suspect traffic could be backed up for some time. a dog attack near patterson park is dividing the community. dozens turned out tonight at a meeting expressing concern over dogs running loose, and some are pushing for tougher restrictions on pitbull in particular. kerry cavanaugh is live at baltimore city police have in
