tom tasselmyer has tracking the potential for snow in the 11 insta-weather + center. >> it is december after all. things were eventually going to change, you had to know that. reduce the winter weather advisers posted from hartford to no. baltimore counties. west of where it gets even worse as far as winter weather goes. western allegheny and garrett counties under a winter storm warning. right now it is a warm weather pattern along the coast. still seeing temperatures in the 60's all the way up to southern new england. 60's and 70's down to eastern north carolina. it's a whole lot colder to the west hovering around freezing in the mountain locations where the rig has already tense over to snow. iran the baltimore area it is heavy rain. we do expect a quick burst of snow here. more details on that coming up in a few minutes. >> thank you. you can join as half an hour

earlier tomorrow for 11 news today. the latest on the storm and possible delays begins at 4:30 tomorrow morning. a special start time for allow the news today at 4:30. >> a special store we are following. two baltimore city police officers have been suspended amid allegations of misconduct. we are told two the ball officers have been placed on administrative leave because of a harassment and integrity issue. police will not elaborate on the details of their suspensions but we are working to get more information and we will have much more for you tonight at 11:00. >> into that education a lawyer, maryland's fourth graders are making progress in math. that is according to the results from a test released today. >> the results are from the naep test.

million lawsuit against carroll county his lawyers say they never apologized for the boy's death and handle the situation in an insulting manner. >> he was the lead of my life. he was a lot of everybody's life and knew him. i mean, we are just devastated. >> she fights back tears as she explains how her life has changed forever center 9-year- old boy noah was killed after being struck by a hickory tree almost two years ago. >> it was very upsetting. everything was handled. -- it definitely should have been handled differently. >> that a lawsuit filed by the family, a clemson the investigation done by the sheriff's office proved that the tree had been dead for a long period of time. the lawsuit goes on to say the camp is that clinton because it allowed the campers to play outside ignoring a high wind

father, according brooks, was on duty when he was struck and killed by a drunk driver on do you receive in 2007. offered comfort to other victims families. >> we all know the feeling of not being able to talk to them or hear their voice again. that feeling may never go away or get easier to deal with. we must remember, they are always here in spirit. >> this memorial comes at a time when a truck and impaired driving accidents are increasing. state records show 171 fatalities in 2008, 173 in 2009, and 177 last year. the lt. gov. anthony brown talked about his concerns. >> we are supposed to be doing better. we are supposed to be driving these numbers down. >> the lieutenant governor and superintendent of maryland state police officers are committed to reducing the numbers by adding more patrols and setting up sobriety checkpoints over the holiday season.

in contrast to that, temperatures near freezing or below and western maryland were heavy snow is falling. we're still dealing with heavy rain -- a record amount of red and baltimore. temperatures are beginning to cool off a little bit. the cold air will slide in and the rand will switch over to snow. let's check out temperatures in the eastern part of the country and you will see what is going on. 50 degrees at bwi marshall. that is the new low for the day. temperatures in the '60s and '70s and eastern north carolina were thunderstorm watches and the fact that warm air. much colder air is coming in. that is what we look -- that is what will gradually invaded the state. 42 at hagerstown. 40 that just to the north and west of baltimore. we're still unseasonably mild to the north and east. big changes on the way. howard and montgomery county and the winter storm warning to the

it will be a nice sunny and breezy chillier day behind the snow system. with the fast-moving nature of the storm, a key militias will be hard to come by. maybe a trip to 1 inch of baltimore got to the coast. to the north and west to get into the higher terrain. this computer model is predicting -- it is possible one to three inches of snowfall could occur. it will all come quickly and be gone by morning. temperatures by don and the low 30's. breezy and chile throughout the day. small craft advisory with gusts to 25 knots. the storm is pretty strong. it will go quickly and it will kick up the waves. we will see lots of sun. it will be partly cloudy on friday and saturday. great football weather on sunday. cool and dry weather continues into the middle of next week.
