yesterday morning. >> police are hoping surveillance the deal will help them to track down the killer. they have not released the name of the victim because they're waiting to contact family members. the 58-year-old victim was found inside his apartment yesterday morning. it is not known if there was forced entry to the home. detectives are still trying to determine if the victim may have known his killer. detectives are relying on the community for more clues. >> we're hoping somebody will come forward, a resident or someone who happened to be walking by, and saw something that did not seem right. hopefully that will lead us down and investigate a path. -- investigative path. >> if you have more information, call the police

department. >> in baltimore city police officer is recovering tonight after an accident in southwest baltimore. investigators say the police cruiser collided with another car around 7:00 this morning near clifton avenue. another vehicle overturned following the collision. officials say those hurt, including the officer, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. you are looking at a live picture of interstate 6. we're told the accident happened at 5:15. at least five vehicles are involved in the crash near southwestern boulevard near interstate 95. state police say several lanes on the inner loop of the beltway are blocked. the crash comes on the heels of another multi-car crash on the beltway this morning. we're told several people were taken to the hospital after the eight-vehicle pileup. the accident shut down traffic on the beltway for about 90

minutes. there is no word tonight on what triggered the crash. a former goodwill employee is in custody tonight charged with robbing area stores at gunpoint. police arrested him in connection with robberies at the goodwill stores last month. they say the robbers forced employees and customers into a back office and stole money from the cash register and safe. >> we did determine he was a former employee of goodwill. we believe he targeted because he was familiar with how they kept the money inside the store and what the operations were. he figured they were the easiest target to rob for him. >> investigators say he is the suspect in at least three other robberies. he now faces armed robbery and handgun charges. four people are looking for a new home after a house fire in crofton. we're told it took 50

parts of oklahoma and texas are getting some shower activity. it is a long way from us. the high pressure has cleaned out the atmosphere. we had a lot of sun today. temperatures are chilly and falling dramatically this evening. the highs were in the mid 40's today. we have already dropped down to 34. ocean city is down to 30 degrees. it is 30 at frederic. it is in the 20's in some areas. we will see colder temperatures overnight then this morning. it was in the low 20's this morning in some areas. this morning was the coldest of the winter season so far. tomorrow may be a few degrees colder than that. the satellite image shows clear skies. we may pick up some clouds during the day tomorrow.

the high-pressure is sitting over us. there is a disturbance to the south. the low pressure disturbance is pulling the club's no.. it should stay clear overnight. something is going to develop in the plains states. that is the storm we will be watching for the next few days to see what happens towards the end of the week. until then, we will have cold air for days -- few days. clear skies tonight. it will be called again. the wind will be calm. we will have mostly sunny skies. we will pick up some clouds in the afternoon. 42 to 48 for the high. that is around what will be typical for this time of year. some clouds will move in. temperatures will be a few degrees warmer than today pushing the upper 40's.

75 others. it generated $47 million over labor day weekend. on the surface, that sounds like success, particularly for an inaugural event. the race operator is mired in debt and controversy, especially concerning the decision to bring the event that next year. the initial goal of bringing the race to baltimore was to improve the image of a city frequently shown as drug and crime infested as a charmed city that also exists. despite the attendance, excitement, and enthusiasm, the event ended in great financial distress. the very sight that showcased baltimore also helped exceed the initial budget projections. now the event planners want to discuss concessions from the city to help cover the cost. in these tough economic times with so many needs to be met by local and state government, subsidizing a car race may not be high on the list.
