[captioning made possible by constellation energy group] captioned by the national captioning institute --www.ncicap.org-- >> live, local, latebreaking. this is wbal-tv 11 news at noon. >> good afternoon. i am sarah caldwell. we begin with breaking news in baltimore county. capt. roy taylor and sky team 11 over the scene of a police- involved shooting. >> this started out as an arm robbery that took place in the balkans district in baltimore county. -- wilkins district in baltimore county. the suspect was waving his gun outside the car. baltimore county units,

baltimore city units, anne arundel county units, and maryland state police -- we counted as many as 50 police cars involved with this chase. the suspect and a traveling into the area of baltimore by land -- baltimore highlands and was apprehended at the location shots were fired and the suspect was hit in the leg. the suspect was transported to shock trauma for the injuries received from the gunshots. there is a lot going on here. we are trying to get the information and piece together what happened. we will have more on this at 5:00. >> now to our big story at noon. the u.s. held a ceremony in baghdad to market the end of the military mission in iraq. nearly 4500 u.s. soldiers lost their lives since the u.s.-led invasion in 2003.

you can take a survey on the homepage of wbaltv.com. the search continues for a suspect after a barbershop shooting in northeast baltimore. a 32-year-old man was shot several times at harford road. that was around at 7:00 wednesday night. he suffered gunshot wounds to the eye, a finger, and the arm. he is in serious but stable condition. police are investigating the incident as a possible robbery. >> so far, the morning has been pretty nice. grain is moving in. we have some sunshine trying to break through the clouds that have moved in. you can see that the white areas indicate clouds. there are a few clouds and activities out of baltimore. up north, we see at i-83, sprinkle activity.

things are changing here. there are more clouds, readings in the low 50s. with the sunshine is broken through, airport and south, close to 60 degrees in temperature right now. forecast for the rest of today and at the weekend coming up. >> a prince george's county legislator has been indicted a second time on charges of theft and misconduct. the charges accused tiffany alston, a democrat, of using state funds to pay an employee offer private law firm to it -- of her private law firm. in september, she was accused in a separate case of using campaign funds to cover running expenses. energy giant constellation energy and exelon agreed to sweeten the deal to gain at the governor's blessing in their merger. exelon will make concessions valued at $1 billion, including the development of more natural gas, wind, solar power in

she was wearing green, so she would not work on this set. here is baltimore city right here. there are a few sprinkles and north of town. the clouds a thin out. temperatures warm up, because the sun is doing its thing. on tv hill, is 55. cooler up north. a few sprinkles and light showers for the maryland line. carroll and frederick county and points west as well. rain chance is are increasing. let's take a look at temperatures but where the rain has been the most resistant, we see the coolest temperatures, shades of blue. the warming trend is moving south at annapolis, at 60 degrees. boardwalk city, they at sunshine but are getting a breeze off the water.

temperature-wise, we will kind of the controlled by the clouds you see moving in. if you are clouds south of the day, but the cloud deck to the north and west, that is where the rain is. this will be moving on us all day today, pushing the high- pressure out, increasing the chances for rain. here is the forecast. mostly cloudy skies. a chance for showers. 53 to 58 the high. if anything, the temperatures might fall back a little bit. south wins at about 10 to 15 miles per hour. we had a pretty good costs. well into the teens. 20 on the day from the south. small craft advisory in effect, with water temperatures in the 40's. overnight, we will see it this sweep of colder air come in. temperatures by morning will be
