at the liberty mountain resort in carroll valley, pa., the parking lot is empty. no one is standing in line to get the tickets and the rental shops are closed. if you take a look up the mountain, you will see why. this is a ski resort with not enough snow. >> normally over the christmas holiday, kids are of school, people are home, governments are closed. people are coming out, but we are just not quite ready for them yet. >> has it hurt your business? >> we would like to see a few more folks out here. we have been in this business a long time and had slow start before. >> the manager says the weather has not been cooperating. while they have the equipment to make snow, it has not been cold enough to make enough snow. >> the temperatures have been pretty mild. we have only had six or seven nights where we have had marginal temperatures and have been able to make some snow. i do hope that is changing this coming week. wednesday looks great.
