now. fire crews are in the process of clearing, it is still shut down. we have video to show you of what it looked like earlier. shortly after 3:30, a tractor- trailer was leaking some type of product. the fire department responded. because of the opinion has that situation, they shot down eastbound route 50 at this location. a return to figure out exactly what type of product it was. the placards only indicated poison and that could be just about anything. the problem is the nightmare of the traffic. the traffic is track -- is backed up from this location all the way to i-97. if you think you're going to use the back roads, forget that. you might as well get to annapolis and grab a bite to eat.

>> thank you very much. police say they have been traveling to maryland from out of state to perform late term abortions. tonight, to doctors are charged with murder. >> a state senator is using the crime to push new legislation to further regulate abortion clinics in maryland. >> both of the doctors were taken into custody without incident. one in new jersey and the other in utah. one state senator says when it comes to abortion clinics in maryland, the laws are too relaxed and they need to be better regulated. it was an investigation that began back in august of 2010. after investigators say a young adult female from out of state was rushed to union hospital

after complications from a medical procedure performed at 126 east high street. police say it was later found out the patients had been driven from new jersey to receive an abortion. doctors were on premises during the time of the incident. human remains were found inside a freezer chest. it was later determined the doctor had been escorting patients to the location. on december 28, both doctors were arrested and charged with murder. >> regardless of how anybody feels about the issue, nobody wants to see women killed. >> senator nancy jacobs of the 34 district, after getting wind of the allegations, drafted a bill that would better regulate abortion clinics in maryland. in this case, women were ferried into maryland or the laws are much more relaxed.

>> it is not regulated in maryland at all. there is no requirement for safe abortions. >> despite the bill's failure, the senator feels that given the fact these doctors were charged, the department of health and mental hygiene is expected to adopt several other laws recommendations, including making abortion clinics fall under ambulatory surgical care facilities. >> they worked with both sides of the issue. people on both sides of the issue. they came up with regulations this past summer. while the regulations did not do everything that my legislation did, they were an excellent start. right now, you have no idea how many abortions are performed in the state of maryland. >> both doctors are facing extradition back here to maryland and are facing first and second degree murder charges, as well as conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

>> it was breaking news tonight from mayor stephanie rawlings blake that the city of baltimore has ended its partnership with the racing development. officials are demanding immediate payment of debts owed by the group. the cost stems from admission and amusement taxes. there is also a race event feet, clocking in at $2.5 million. -- a race events fee, clocking in at $2.5 million. another $50,000 will go to the use of the parking facility. the city now has the right to move forward with other individuals and organizations ever interested in conducting motorsports events in baltimore. >> people in hartford county raised thousands of dollars for a teacher after learning she was

dying of cancer. they now tell us she was never sick. how does this information come out? >> a school employees who became suspicious of the teacher contacted the hartford county sheriff's deputies. charges are pending. the alleged fraud was reported december 12. deputies have not released the teacher's name. >> concern for a teacher at baker field elementary has changed toanger. co-workers who gave financial support now wonder if they were duped. >> what i can tell you is that we had a victim of reported to our agency that there was a co- worker who was stating that she had cancer, and this victim and several of her co-workers allegedly were giving the suspect monies for necessities. >> hartford county sheriff's deputies are investigating a case of possible fraud. a 24-year-old teacher is accused

of telling school employees that she had cancer, and struggled to provide for herself. >> the detectives need to complete their investigation to determine what crime was committed. >> co-workers raised approximately $10,000. they began to pay rent, buy groceries, and supply funds for various flights to several states for allegedly cancer treatments. during the summer, she advised that the cancer had been diagnosed as stage 4. she only had a 15% chance of survival. the woman's co-workers organized more fund-raisers. now they do not believe the teacher had cancer and they're calling for her to face charges. area residents are commenting on the alleged deception. one person writes about the feeling betrayed. "i do not think there is one co- worker that has shared their friendship, part, money, etc.

a brief shot of some colder air tomorrow morning. it is going to clear up as we go into new year's eve. it should be no problem turning the page into the new year. some sunshine will break through as we head on into the afternoon. the temperatures are not bad, upper 40's and lower 50's. the temperatures will be in the mid-30's at midnight. the big changes going to comment on monday. an arctic cold front is going to go through on sunday night. it will open the door to all the arctic air that has been bottled up in canada. new year's day, we will still make it up to 53. the fund goes through sunday night and the temperatures drop off. the high temperature on monday will be in the morning. it will drop into the 20's in
