wbaltv.com. baltimore police are searching for clues in a deadly shooting of a man through the window of a home in south baltimore. police were called to the brooklyn section of the city just before 4:00 this morning. police say someone shot at the front windows of the home. he was taken to shop, where he died. one person is recovering from injuries after a fire started a home on edgewood street. the fire was brought under control just after noon today. the cause remains under investigation. >> this caps off a nice weekend. yesterday and friday or 20 degrees above normal. today we were only 10 degrees above normal. it was a very nice day. 51 was the high at the airport. though lows this morning were

his passing last week and the age of 81. he showed his love for his home town donating more than $100 million to schools and universities. he was internationally known as . philanthropist an his connections to the city were deep and a source of pride for him. he first showed his entrepreneurial skills selling soda on the streets. his great-grandfather served as the president of the bank of maryland. his grandmother created the gilman school for boys in 1897. it was the nation's first country day school. he made his fortune in real- estate finance. his passion for education was evident by the donations to major educational institutions. he donated $30 million to the university of maryland school of law last april, the largest gift in the school's history. having donated $50 million to establish the carry school of business at johns hopkins university in two dozen 6, he

hoped his donations would lead to a joint law-business degree. from board membership to campaign contributions, he shared his wealth and knowledge. the city and state will forever be grateful for his guests and legacy.
