fringe of that rain. 40's at best today. there will be improvement in the seven-day forecast. >> good morning. a nice start on this monday morning. we're checking our speed sensors on the west side. 51 as you get closer to that southwest corner. moving well on eastbound 70. 795 looks good out of owings mills. 83 it is checking out ok. 95 in pretty good shape. no problems as you head down towards the fort mchenry. five minutes down from 895 to the toll plaza. 10 minutes on southbound 95 down towards the 32. this is traffic near quarantine road. we are seeing some delays as

folks adjust to the new traffic pattern. construction at the curtis creek drawbridge. it will slow folks up this morning. we will keep you posted. this is traffic at liberty. the west side is running smoothly. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> opening statements are expected to begin in the trial of an inmate accused of murdering a corrections officer. prosecutors say lee edward stevens stabbed to death a corporal back in 2006. a second inmate is also charged in the case. four people have been arrested in connection with a deadly brawl in carroll county. the police have been addressed -- have been identified and

their charge with second-degree manslaughter and assault. police say each of them took part in the brawl that killed craig myers. a hunter is recovering after an accident near washington, d.c. five men were hunting illegally when one of the men somehow shot one of his companions. the group faces hunting without permission and the illegal use of buckshot. >> a violent weekend in baltimore city. >> kim dacey joins us live with the details. good morning. >> police are still searching for clues and suspects in all of the cases. four separate incidents over the weekend left two people dead and two others injured.

the weekend got off to a violence start in baltimore city. around 7:00 friday night, police found a man suffering from gunshot wounds near ashland and north montford avenue in east baltimore. he later died from his injuries. police say robbery could have been a motive in another friday night shooting. they say a 29-year-old man was wounded in the 5700 block of chinquapin parkway in northeast baltimore. at last check, he was in stable condition. police were called to the 1900 block of north collington avenue around 6:00 saturday night. they found a man shot in the back. he was taken to the hospital, and there's no word on his condition, but he is expected to be ok. 4:00 a.m. sunday morning, police say somebody shot at the front windows of a home, killing a 35-year-old man. no arrests have been made. police are still searching for clues and suspects in all of the cases. if you have any information on any of these cases, you're asked to call baltimore city

>> welcome back to 11 news today. this is a live view from the skycam. there are some clouds in the sky. 37 downtown. 20's out there around the airport. as you head south, it is a little milder. 39 at ocean city airport. 20's out towards the west. 27 in oakland. these temperatures will not be able to warm up into the afternoon. we have the clouds in place. 42 at best in baltimore. some spots they struggle to get

up to 40 degrees. low 40's as you head into the mountains. southern maryland will be the first to see the showers. baltimore could see them into the afternoon. all the clouds are in place already. one storm system is down to the south. another one on the backside now forming in west texas. they are marching along the stationary front and will increase our chance for rain over the next couple of days. this is feeding off moisture from the gulf and passes mostly to the south. baltimore, a slight chance for showers. a better chance down to the south. on wednesday, watch as the heavier rain pushes over

anderson at least behind her husband and two children. a bus accident on sunday morning. three passengers were thrown out of the bus. investigators all looking at whether the driver was going too fast for the road conditions. bungee cord broke in zimbabwe. the woman was seven seconds into her job when the cord broke, a maker plummeting to the river below. had to swim against the rapids for safety. she suffered some cuts and bruises and a broken collarbone. >> another price hike at the gas pump.

>> welcome back to 11 news today. police are looking into a double stabbing in brooklyn park. a man and woman were attacked just after 8:00 p.m. last ninght at orchard avenue. a truck driver will hear his sentence today. he faces more than 40 years in prison on four counts of second- degree assault plus seven other offenses.
