firefighters in hartford county are on the scene of a house fire. the fire broke out just before 5:00 this evening. we have a crew on the way to the scene. ♪ with ravens players and fans during up for the big playoff game tomorrow against the houston texans, you can feel the excitement around baltimore. we are live in federal hill searching out purple fever. >> apparently, this cold weather in baltimore has not stopped these tax and fans from invading ravens territory. i talked to a bartender. she said some guys came in with cowboy boots on, cowboy hats, and they were blasting country music. we also caught up with some other texas fans who were hanging out with ravens fans.

than we expect tomorrow to be. the entire eastern seaboard is a little bit on the chilly side. let's take a look at what the playoffs weather is going to be like. we do have a game tonight, and it is up in boston. it was nice in san francisco this afternoon. boston's temperature 21 to 16. at least they will not have any style. in a cold night. tomorrow, our weather calls for temperatures in the low to mid- 30's. the winds will not be that strong. the game begins at 1:00. in green bay, temperatures are close to what we will have. mostly in the upper 20's. no snow in the forecast. there is a look at the playoffs weather. we will look at your -- your weather in just a minute. >> maryland state police have arrested a man in connection with an assault and robbery at a carroll county convenience store

earlier this month. 21-year-old darrell l. webb jr. was arrested this morning. police say early on january 5, he attacked the convenience store clerk. he still lottery tickets. -- stole lottery tickets. baltimore county police are searching for suspects under the man was a salted over route 295. the attack happened just before 8:30. police said the 39-year-old was attacked by three men. police say they have identified this area as a potential problem and they have increased patrols. >> we are reminding pedestrians, it is getting darker earlier. please use caution in the area. remain alert to your surroundings. >> the victim was taken to shock trauma for treatment. police say if you have any

information, please contact metro crimestoppers. baltimore city police investigated and run involving a pedestrian in east baltimore. it happened just before 1:00 this afternoon. police tell us a person was struck by a vehicle, which fled the scene. the victim was taken to the hospital. the city police accident investigation team was called to the scene. city firefighters battled the cold temperatures this morning. the fires started around 5:00 this morning. the fire spread to two adjoining homes. cold temperatures prompted fire officials to be asked -- to ask the salt the brunt in. >> -- salt be brought again. >> the gop presidential candidate are squaring off in south carolina, one week to the day before the big primary. they're reaching out for the

these temperatures are degree or two up below the average for the season. we are getting a reenforcing shot of cold air tonight. that will drop these temperatures. 25 and 30 where the lows this morning. record snowfall for the state was over 6 inches. right at the freezing point on the boardwalk. westminster, 30, along with frederick. it is still in the teens in oakland. here is the satellite image showing everything coming at us from the west. a couple of sprinkles down to the south. there is this little clipper down in kentucky and tennessee. it is moving to the east. it is writing kind of lull and gaining more for virginia that it is for us. the loan -- it is writing at kind kudlow and it is aiming at

more for virginia benefits for us. it keeps trying to push in some warm air. our forecast tonight, seasonably cold. northwest breeze at 227. we might get a fuller, but a very slight chance. unseasonably cold. in the mid-30's on average around the area. a few degrees colder than it was today. not a big breeze, but there will be small craft advisories out in the bay. here is that little clip for heading to the south. fair weather during the day tomorrow. when we get into monday, monday looks like a decent day. there is a system a little more vigorous coming in from the south and of bringing a lot of moisture. by monday night and tuesday, we have a chance of some rain. we will review the forecast for the game tomorrow.
