>> a maryland state trooper recovering after a hit-and-run accident that happened around 9:00 on a traffic stop on northbound interstate 83. sheldon dutes is live in westminster with the details. what happened? >> even though this state trooper had reflective gear over his uniform, it was not enough to protect him. tonight, the search continues for the driver who had him. it happen during a traffic stop 183 northbound, just north of this area. the state trooper was standing on the side of it stopped a vehicle and was issued a citation when he was hit by the side mirror of another car. officials say the impact pushed him into the car he had just stopped, but he was able to roll over and call for help. state police are still trying
