the temperatures will get even colder as the initial precipitation arrives. it is starting to develop over head. it is beginning to dry up before it hits the ground. there is much more where that came from. you can see moderate to heavy snow into parts of central ohio. all that is working its way towards the northeast tonight. the weather service has covered most of the area in advisories and warnings. there are warnings for the highlands into ohio. a lot of that is because of the ice accumulation they are expecting. the blue areas are the winter weather advisories with the mixed snow and rain. all of maryland west of the bay has an advisory. it is kind of the calm before the storm. today the highest temperatures were before dawn, 35 to 40 degrees.

since then, it has been getting colder and as the northeast wind has been coming in. it is cold now around the baltimore area. it is very dry. the dew point is the measure of the oyster in the air. the lower it is, the drier it is. they are in the single digits around baltimore. as soon as the initial precipitation this year, the atmosphere will get colder. that moisture is drying up and taking heat out of the atmosphere. snow is spreading into chicago and the ohio valley. that is racing east into our cold, dry atmosphere. that could produce moderate to heavy snow. at midnight, most of the precipitation is still to the south and west. then it starts moving across our region. there is rain around ocean city with snow around the pennsylvania border. that continues until 4:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. we see rain south and east of baltimore. the mixed bag stays in the

suburbs. it will finally pull out of the region tomorrow afternoon. the storm will stay on this track with the potential of up to 3 inches of snowfall. there could be 5 inches in parts of southern pennsylvania. that does include areas towards new england. if you are traveling up 95, you are going through the snow storm was sleet mixed in. there could be five to 7 inches of snow in the foxboro area tomorrow afternoon. that will spread into mature new york. the snow will start towards midnight. it will mix with freezing rain towards morning. temperatures will drop in the 20's. they will stay in the 30's tomorrow. all of this should get out of here by tomorrow afternoon. this is our first taste of winter. late tonight into tomorrow, up to 4 inches near the state line. there will be drizzle on sunday with all out rain on monday as temperatures get back to near 50.

ravens fans are showcasing their purple pride. >> jennifer franciotti is in new england. she has been searching for fan fever. she joins us from gillette stadium in foxboro. what is going on? >> this trip is giving me such an appreciation for how the baltimore ravens treat their fans. the first thing i did when i got here was to call the new england patriots. i said i was here from baltimore wondering what they do for the fans. there was dead silence. i thought maybe i had offended him. there was silence because he came back and said they do not do it there. they do not do that for the fans. i have been waiting to see people showing they're patriots pride. i thought maybe today would be the day. we headed to boston where we found the steamiest -- tiniest little bit of patriots spirit. here is the only sign we have seen so far. we have to go all the way to

in western ohio, temperatures have been in the single digits and teens most of the day. the first real taste of winter is coming in. we will track and check the playoff forecast in a couple minutes. >> a devastating crossfire has claimed the lives of two young girls. cumberland firefighters found two sisters inside the burned rowhouse on harrison street this morning. about 100 firefighters were called to the scene around 6:00 a.m. where they found the bodies of the girls. we're told their mother and an eight-month old baby did escape without injury. the mother is being treated for smoke inhalation. a firefighter was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries. the damage is estimated at 200,000 old. this is set at $300,000 for the utah dr. accused in a botched abortion case in cecil county. lawyers asked the judge to throw out the charges are doing the
