a stunning loss to the new england patriots, the ravens are experiencing another blosil. jerry -- another loss. jerry sandusky joins us live. >> he spent four years on john harbaugh's coaching staff. but dano did such a good job running the ravens defense, he now runs the entire show for the indianapolis colts. the colts offered chuck pagano the head coaching job today. the ravens defense became one of the best in the nfl as they returned to their roots. by hiring pagano, indianapolis has essentially signaled the end of the peyton manning that era. they want him to take the team to the playoffs on the back of a strong defense.

another dead after a crash in baltimore county. aaron mccoy died at sea crashed into two other vehicles and a utility pole. police believe he was involved in seven burglaries. they say jernard tolliver helped him. we are told polymer bailed out of the car, but was later apprehended. three others involved were treated for minor injuries. a federal jury said today that a frederick county sheriff's deputy is not liable for a man he shot with a stun gun. his parents were seeking $150 million in the case. he testified that he tasered

gray twice after he failed to obey commands. a former crew member turned whistle-blower will have to wait to land a huge reward. two shipping companies were sentenced to pay $1.20 million in fines after pleading guilty for illegally dumping waste oil. the crew member is credited with tipping off of parties. prosecutors have requested a $500,000 reward, but the judge did not rule on that part of the case. police have arrested a security guard accused of stealing jewelry and cash from an art -- from an anne arundel emails kiosk. john thomas cook. investigators discovered the goods inside his home. police think he may have been working with an accomplice baltimore police commissioner defended the police budget,

something he may have to do in front of the city council as members were to close the deficit. the city has one of the highest per capita police budgets in the country. the chief said the city also has one of the worst murder rates in the country and his department has made sacrifices. >> the pension rolls went from being able to retire with 20 years of service to now 25 years of service. that is in the middle of the game. you would not faint -- five people inside the police department that would say we have gone unscathed through these difficult budget times. >> you can see more of the interview on sunday morning at 11:30. police are investigating a shooting in northeast baltimore. we were over the same at 6:00 tonight. a man was shot multiple times. he was rushed to the hospital. no word on his condition, a

suspect, or a motive. tonight, thousands gathered in baltimore for the nation's largest meeting of lesbian, a day, a transsexual, and transgendered right advocates. we are live downtown with a preview. >> the conference will take off tomorrow, including the baltimore mayor. one of the major topics is the same-sex marriage debate here in maryland. this is one of a nearly 3000 advocates and allies from across the country who flew into baltimore to take part in the 24 national conference on lgbt equality. this at new yorker is not only excited about networking, but also to discuss the issues

tasselmyer. >> an unseasonably mild january day. temperatures above normal. not as warm as yesterday, but around 50 in many areas. 49 officially at the airport. seven degrees warmer than the average high of 42. a record amount of snow. a 15 inch snowfall of the 25th of january in 2000. part of a significant nor'easter. heavy snow across the region. 20 inches in rock hall. 18 inches on tv hill. bellaire, 14 inches of snow. it was a snowy 25th of january 12 years ago. this time around, getting set to turn wet. severe thunderstorms, a tornado watches out in parts of louisiana. almost like springtime. on the northern fringe of the system, there is some cold air.

the rain is mixing with or changing over to sleet and snow. it looks like all of that wintry weather will stay up in central pennsylvania. we will be on the southern fringe of all of that. as temperatures cool along the pennsylvania line, the potential for a little bit of sleep. not a major threat for us, but we will keep an eye on the precipitation. it is getting cold in ocean city. they have had a break in the cloud cover. 44 degrees in downtown baltimore right now those above freezing temperatures good news for most areas. the sleet indicated is a little farther north of us. use some costs and tomorrow morning. the potential is there for an icy patch or two. even though it will be cloudy and wet, and editors will be above normal. 32 desk 39 at sunrise. grain moving in throughout the day.

-- rain at moving in and throughout the day. rain in the mountains tomorrow, but that changes to snow. cooler air coming in for the weekend. at the eastern shore -- 47. showers ending tomorrow morning. the lower eastern shore made it close to 60. with this warmer air, the potential is there for an isolated thunderstorm tomorrow night. wins out of the south east. always about a foot. polar bear plunge coming up this weekend. it looks like the mild winter is keeping the water temperatures of a little bit. moseley holding around the 40 degree mark. cloudy skies and rain moving in. cooler air behind this front. it will deliver a shot of snow to new england. we will be on the south side of that. the showers get an east of baltimore by about 11:00 friday morning. snow returns to the mountains
