on tuesday. >> in section 2012, the budget battle shaping up in annapolis as the gop freshmen take and gov. martin o'malley's tax proposal. state house republicans want to tear up the proposal and are in the process of coming up with their own plan. the governor proposes expanding the sales tax to digital products, including items like e-books, greeting cards, itunes and ring towns, and reducing tax exemptions for those earning $100,000 or more. the governor says he is pushing for repeals on several other taxes. republicans say no way. >> the average family is looking at $2,200 to $2,400 it hit per family per year from now until take a date.

>> no word on when the republican budget proposals will be released. a suspected terrorist plead guilty in federal court. 22-year-old antonio martinez pled guilty to attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. he was accused of scheming to attack an armed forces recruiting station in december 2010. he was arrested after he attempted to detonate what he believed to be explosives in a parked vehicle at the recruiting station he will be sentenced april 16. at a police officer in cecil county pleads guilty to hit and run what drinking and driving in november. officer david vogel entered the plea on wednesday. offials say the 11-year veteran crossed the center line and struck a truck and his personal suv before driving away. no one was hurt, and a vocal has been suspended with pay since the incident. a man is in police custody after a a meeting troopers on a chase through maryland and delaware. maryland state police say that a

trooper stopped the man on i-95 near perryville, but he took off, traveling the interstate at speeds of over 100 mi. per hour until he reached delaware. police say he cites what another vehicle. when he came back to maryland, he attempted to run down a trooper in his car. that trooper was able to hop a guard rail. jordan was caught when he fled into the woods. police say he had an outstanding warrant, was on license, and was in possession of marijuana and heroin. we are told this car lost control and struck a house just after 1:00 in the 600 block of central avenue west. the driver was taken to anne arundel medical center with non-life but some injuries. no word on what caused the man to lose control of his the vehicle. >> couple of days of sunshine, and it really warm temperatures.

indianapolis colts. under pagano, the ravens defense became one of the best in the nfl. by putting pagano in charge, the colts send a signal that the patent manning era is over. john harbaugh released this statement -- "we are so happy for chuck, tina, and their daughters. we will miss him and thank him for all he did for the ravens." of baltimore city school is getting our renovation banks to a generous gift from "the ellen degeneres show."

a number of youngsters were skating when suddenly the children, coaches heard a frightening sound of our roof collapsing. huge holes appeared in the roof, and then the roof came crashing down. thankfully, no one was hurt. a customer faces a masked gunmen trying to rob a sacramento convenience store. you can see the man is standing near one of the shelves when the mask to gone -- masked gunman runs in. he slaps the gun away and chased the suspect from the store. and not-so-lucky shot by a bank robber in brazil. you can see two armed men entered a small bank and grouped the customers and staff together but a third man apparently got a little nervous, accidentally firing a pistol and shooting himself in the foot. when the gang left the bank, one of them was limping.

rain coming in. i have circled the baltimore area. this first batch of rain coming in from northern virginia, west virginia, into frederick county, carroll county, moving into harford county. there is more to the west, several waves of it. temperatures are cold enough that they are getting on wintry mix. the snowy or wintery part of this will be ball to our north. well to our- north. we are getting a the pennsylvania line. mid-forties around baltimore. software, temperatures are in the 50's. something going on here, changes in the color. it will save our temperatures today, but tonight, temperatures will be steady or rising. here is a larger view of what is

going on. all the moisture coming from the south, tennessee, kentucky, more moisture in the great lakes. this will last into tonight and even into tomorrow morning to. we are on the north side of the front and getting southeast wins. once the front gets into pennsylvania, that will moderate temperatures somewhat. it reaches of the way back into the mississippi valley. strong storms in alabama this morning. could be strong activity at there tonight. here you see the warm air coming in ahead of the storm. rest of the country is chilly. not extremely chilly, but winter-like cold. burst of warm air ahead of this storm.
