a 27-year-old man was shot multiple times but is expected to survive. around 9:30 p.m., a 40-year-old man was shot in the shoulder while driving in inner circle in brooklyn. around the same time, police found the body of a man in the basement of a home on greensville avenue in northeast baltimore. then, just before 10:00 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in the back while driving on pressed very straight. finally, around the same time, police responded to a shooting on nasco place paintballs war. police are searching for man -- in baltimore. police are searching for a man -- the number of victims is unknown, but detectives need your help in tracking down the suspect. >> this kind of has been a

problem for baltimore for a while. >> take a good look at the man in the surveillance picture. baltimore city police think he may be responsible for crimes in the canton area. >> in one of the incidents, we know he took credit cards and things of that nature from the vehicle. a short time later, he used them at a local business. >> yes, i am surprised. that is something you do with them baltimore. >> i guess i am concerned because i live around the area and i am in the area all lot. i am thinking about why they occurred and what i can do to make sure that it does not happen to me. >> you have people out here looking to do just does, break into your car and deprive you of your belongings. narc -- not only are your belongings gone, but now you have the problem of getting your vehicle fixed and replacing the things of that nature.

misconduct in office. jury deliberations continue today in the trial of lee stevens. he is accused of killing corrections officer corporal mcgwinn. kuli if convicted, stevens faces the death penalty. police are asking for help finding the man they're robbed two met -- attacked two women in rolen park. the two women were leaving the pitied louis restaurant. the suspect approached them, threatened to shoot them, and struggled with one woman and made off with her purse. we're told the owners of the property are planning to install additional lighting in the area. police ask anybody who sees suspicious activity to contact them immediately. your property taxes are likely about to go down, but experts say that it is only because property assessments are also

declining. property values in most towns dropped by nearly 20% in the past three years. councilman carl stokes served as the chair of the tax and finance committee. representatives explained the process behind the numbers to concerned residents. >> so the assessment determines these values based on the sales that occurred from january to september 30. >> officials say there is an appeals process, but residents have to act quickly. the next step has to be taken within 45 days. >> our non-winter continues. here we are in early february and still no substantial snowstorm. another storm went through overnight. most of it passed through the south of us, but it was a rainmaker.

it will bring in about $286,000 in revenue for ocean city. a baltimore man is a medical pioneer. he recently underwent a groundbreaking cancer surgery to save his life. but why did he have to travel to another country to get it? >> chris lyles just returned from the trip of his life to save his life. diagnosed with a rare treat the cancer that was inoperable, he was forced to leave the country and go to europe for live-saving surgery. >> you should not have to travel that far to get there, sweden or germany or china or where, to get a surgery like this done. >> his family spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to help him get the surgery. his mother traveled with them. >> they consider america the greatest country in the world. yet we had to come to their country to get help for chris. >> tonight, we have a crystal

hundreds more in your wallet year after year. feed me! saving you money -- now, that's progressive. call or click today. >> a dramatic rescue was caught on tape after a man was buried in a trench in california. he was working in a home in brentwood when he fell in the trench on wednesday. it took crews more than an hour to pull him out. the man was conscious and alert and was rushed to the hospital. newly released video shows a horrific crash between a metrobus here in maryland and a pickup truck. you can see the truck crossed the median and hit the bus had on. investigators are not sure why the truck crossed the median. the bus driver did her best to try to avoid the collision. the crash happened back in december and killed the truck driver. the bus trip is undergoing rehabilitation. -- the bus driver is undergoing

to punxsutawney phil. the world-famous groundhog made its prediction over a crowd this morning. regardless of his prediction, many people feel like winter has not even started with mild temperatures in most states, including here in maryland. >> for some reason, phil never looks happy. i am not sure why. they downtown harbor is at 53 degrees, not 63 degrees. coming out of northern virginia and west virginia at this point, just about to the day now, clouds are beginning to thin out. we will get some sun this afternoon for a while. but cold air is coming. it will be a battle between the sun trying to warm things up and the cold air coming in. the last of the showers, the darker green shades especially,

down on the lower eastern shore will be moving out of here in the next hour or two. here is the high we hit this week, right around 70 degrees. and here is the normal high, around 42 degrees. we will start a slide here. we will get much closer to normal. then we may stay there for a while. it is not extreme. it is just readjusting the atmosphere to get us where we should have been a long time ago pin whether we will -- a long time ago. whether we will see more of these spikes remains to be seen. 45 degrees on the boardwalk and 48 degrees in edgewood. we have a lot of clouds. it has held the temperature down. but where they had some sun for while, it is closer to 50 degrees. but not in western maryland. so the son helps year. the temperatures have gotten up around -- so the sun helps here. the temperatures have gotten up

around 50 degrees. this is where the area of low pressure is that is pulling out and that is why the rain is concentrated around that low. we are not really getting the cold canadian air behind this cool front. there is another one out to the west. there is no mechanism to really drug the extremely cold air which is parked up around hudson bay -- to really drag the extremely cold air which is part of around hudson bay. normally, we would be in the upper-40's to around 50 degrees this time of year. we will see a mix of clouds and son. for the boaters, the wind is at 10 knots. there is the rain going away. friday looks good. on saturday, we begin to see weather disturbance out to the west. the latest indication that all of them will pass to our south.

was no longer being produced. -- a heartworm preventative and i was told it was no longer being produced. >> they are shutting down temporarily. interceptor another drug is coming off the market. you use it, talk to your veterinarian out and get a whole year's supply. but there are also great alternatives. your veterinarian can advise you. >> my dog has a brown residue in her ear that it's some kind of odor. should i be concerned that she has ear mites or could it just be an infection? if there -- if they are ear mites, is there a home remedy i can use? >> i do not think he should start with a home remedy. mites are serious but simple to tree. but you have to diagnose the problem.
