>> officials have already warned students and staff of the emotional toll that it could present to the community as one student stands trial in the murder of another. the standout lacrosse player happened on may 3, 2010 when her roommate found her face down in a pool of blood in their apartment near the university of virginia. police arrested her 24 year-old ex a boyfriend. a then at lacrosse player, george huguely. his defense team got a last- minute hearing to present two motions. the first asked for a gag orders so that no one involved in the case could, to the media until the trial was over. this was granted and the judge went one step further, saying that no pictures or video could be taken until he was seated.

the second was to not show pictures to the jury pool. this was denied, the pictures can be shown. this does not necessarily mean they'll be questioned for the george huguely trial. defense attorneys are hoping for a jury of 12 with three alternates. jury selection could stretch into tuesday. they begin with opening statements tomorrow. 11 news reporter will be covering the trial. we'll also have the latest on our web site, wbaltv.com. reporting live in the kim dacey newsroomkim -- reporting live in the newsroom, kim dacey. >> prosecutors say in 2006 he and a roommate stabbed -- he could get the death penalty. >he is accused of using

expected to be asked with a market that been done to protect the young boys. the children were killed when authorities say there father ignited the home, killing himself as well. he had lost custody of his children. a discussion today on whether or not the man accused of the tucson shootings is mentally fit to say trial. he would appear before federal prosecutors and attorneys. prosecutors say he opened fire outside a grocery store in tucson killing six people and wounding four others, including arizona congressman gabrielle giffords. >> the olympic games. about 10,000 volunteers for an orientation training session. it provides an introduction to the heritage and significance of the game.

blood. in her apartment near the university of virginia. police arrested her 24-year-old ex-boyfriend and then lacrosse player and charged him with murder. his attorney was able to get a last-minute hearing to present two motions. the first asking for a gag order so that people in the case could not comment to the media until the end of the trial. this was granted and the judge went one step further sang no pictures or video off could be taken until the jury was seated. the second motion was concerning 15 graphic photos. this was denied. those photos can be shown. as far as that jury is concerned, more than 116 notices went out on february 1. that is not necessarily mean they'll be questioned for the george huguely trial. they're hoping for a jury with 12 and three alternates. lawyers on both sides are hoping to seat a jury today and to

had some reports that the far west suburb has a little bit of a fog. that is not good news if you have temperatures below freezing. it is almost like freezing rain with ice on the roadways. you have to watch out in frederick county. generally clear skies. we have sunshine to start the day. it will be a beautiful sunrise. this little disturbance around chicago. there could be some sprinkles or flurries with that. during the day today, we expect mostly sunny skies. high temperatures in the upper- 40's. cloudy skies, maybe a sprinkle or flurry. temperatures will drop back in the 30's. during the day to mark, this computer model is not picking up anything as far as precipitation goes. there will be a front involving colder air.

quarter. tom brady, his second pass. now the giants are in trouble. another wild fourth quarter highlighted this super bowl. eli manning errors it out. a spectacular catch. one of the great plays of the year. he catches it and keeps his feet in bounds. that led to a touchdown. so does this play. he tries to stop at the one. he ends up falling in the end zone. 21-17 with 57 seconds left. that is a great play. well brady pull off a miracle? not on this night. he errs it out. he merely makes the play. instead, the giants celebrate a 21-17 win. the second for the head coach.
