surprise that gas prices are on the rise. they have jumped 5 cents in maryland the past week, at 10 cents nationwide, and they mall not likely top out until may. pushing his gas tax legislation, which could add a number 21 cents to already high prices over the next three years. many lawmakers in the state opposed the idea. experts say it is are to tell how it will all pan am -- pan ou. >> -- pan out. >> prices are likely to rise for the balance of february and into march. that is why there is a lot proponents for the higher gas tax in maryland, especially the business community, who want to see it invested in infrastructure and associated job creation. >> the governor's office says

>> disturbing new details in their murder-a suicide of a father and his sons and washington. josh powell and his boys died of carbon monoxide poisoning, and the boys suffered at shipments to the head and neck. powell set a house on fire after social services dropped off at the boys. he was a person of interest in his wife's disappearance in 2009. the staff of an elementary school from the principal to the janitor is being replaced as officials investigate sex abuse allegations against teachers.

new storm system is on the way. it will bring a chance for snow by tomorrow afternoon. two areas of low pressure, one of which is right around st. louis and the other around oklahoma. you can see this note moving towards it kansas city and wichita as well. all the cold air coming in around the front. you can easily pick up that front as ideas currently 36 in kansas city. you go to st. louis, 46. this is the front stretching through taxes throughout missouri all the way into pennsylvania. this front is going to come through tonight. as those two storms come in from the west, it will be cold enough for us to get the snow. unbelievably beautiful out there. 52 at b.w.i. marshall. 50 degrees at edgewood. 52 in college park. fewou 4's0 out there, -- a

40's out there bank. overall, a very mild afternoon. this evening, clouds start to increase ahead of the next storm. it is going to be a chilly start tomorrow. then we see the chance to force now. futurecast, tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m., we must have the clout pushing in from the west. more likely as we head into the afternoon, that is when baltimore could start to see precipitation. it may start off as a little bit of rain, but with the colder weather, it is likely to change over to snow. snow showers lasting into the evening hours. anywhere south of baltimore, mostly just a rain-snow mix. accumulations are going to be mostly north of baltimore.

what is it like being part of the cast? >> really cool, you know. the show is such an established favorite, so well written, the cast is so talented. everybody involved as a great idea of how to make good television, had to be part of that is exciting. you feel like you are part of something that is time tested and very well respected. i am honored to be a part of it. >> you play a district attorney who finds himself or medically into m -- romantically linked to character. you are friends in real life. does that help? >> i think so. she is a great girl. i love her as a person. my wife and mariska are friends, we have mutual friends. i think all that stuff kind of

adds a little. it is kind of like when we started working together, we had a little bit of history. i think all of that kind of adds to the chemistry it on camera. you don't really need it. i've worked with people i just met that day, and you are hired to act. it is undeniable that if you have some sort of history with the person, or you like them, it translates on camera. >> you just wrapped up a broadway show. what is the transition like going from broadway back to work on a set? >> oh, man, it couldn't be more different. they are both acting, but what is just a different thing altogether. being on stage is its own type of performance. you have to think about things you never think of on a set. and vice versa. the things that the camera can pick up what is the minister
