contraceptives has the obama administration under fire today. republicans are calling this an attack on religious freedom. lawmakers are gearing up for a fight with the white house. >> congressional republicans are vowing to roll back the controversial policy forcing religious groups with insurance plans to cover birth control. >> this attack must not stand and will not stand. >> this is not a woman's right issue. this is a religious liberty issue. >> the catholic church had hoped to get a waiver but did not. >> this is the government imposing a church requirements that would be against their conscience. >> now this is a talking pot on the presidential campaign trail -- talking point.

the city of annapolis is mourning the passing of the former mayor, dennis callahan. he served until 1989. flags in annapolis have been ordered to fly at half staff until he is laid to rest. he was 70 years old. >> two people are recovering after an accident in southwest baltimore. the officer suffered minor injuries when his cruiser hit a pall on wednesday night. a civilian was also hurt. that person suffered non-life- threatening injuries. there was a deadly crash on wednesday afternoon. one person was ejected from a vehicle in perry hall. another person was rushed to the hospital in serious condition. 33 degrees on tv hill.
