she won six grammys and 22 american music awards as well as numerous other honors. she even gave up acting a try. she returned to the big screen for other roles. but alongside those successes, houston faced several roles in our personal life. her 1992 marriage to bob braun turned tumultuous with brown arrested several times on charges ranging from dui to domestic abuse. the couple divorced in 2007. houston blamed are growing substance abuse. she managed her -- her addiction problems became a daily way of life. after two stints in rehab, she tried for a comeback in 2009, but canceled or world tour. whitney houston was reportedly gearing up for a comeback to the big screen in an upcoming musical drama.

>> winter has returned with a vengeance in northern ohio. the forecast calls for another 4 inches. there are white out conditions and dozens of crashes on the highways, including the ohio turnpike. to a story in buffalo, new york. at the de's annual winter felt, organizers had to bring in huge blocks of ice and shave them to make snow. buffalo should not need any more artificial snow because the forecast calls for 6-8 inches of the real thing this weekend. it is surprising. >> absolutely.

a nor'easter developing off the atlantic. it started cranking up a little too late for us. we still have some snow going on here. take a look at the radar. this is probably the last ample spread everything has moved out to sea and is rotating around the backside of the low pressure. some snow showers this evening for the next hour or two -- hour or two. more on that in a minute. accumulations from this will be minor. the wind is blowing around 321 degrees with the high today at the airport. inner harbor, a high of 43. current ratings are 24 at the airport and 28 at the inner harbor. by the way, these current readings -- subtracted by 10 degrees. with that wind, it feels colder. liquid moisture fell overnight.

at the airport, it yielded an inch of snow during the day today. back in 1982, 22.8 inches. this is nothing, right? the current temperature is 27. 28 in southbury. 21 at gaithersburg. it feels like the teens around here because of that strong wind. temperatures out in western maryland are below zero. cold air coming in behind us. here are the clouds associated with that last impulse. they are going around the low pressure center. it is off long island. the big break is south of canada. that last impulse is rotating around behind us. coming in behind it is a blast of arctic air. it will be short-lived, though. no big storms out to the west. here is the forecast for

tonight. cold, windy, a few snow showers. northwest wind up 15-25. dust in the 40's. 17-25 the overnight temperature. if there is any accumulation, it is probably pretty minor. a wind advisory is out until 7:00 in the morning. there is also a winter weather advisory in effect until 7:00 in the morning for the lower eastern shore. the mountains will get more significant snow. tomorrow, maybe a few flurries. when the tomorrow. 15-25 miles per hour. highs of 33 and 37. it will feel like the teens and twenties because of the strong wind. west wind gusting at 30. 3 foot chop on the open waters. futurecast -- here is our impulse moving to the area this evening. it moves out.
