out. oh, my gosh. look at the hair spray. i'm meteorologist chris warren with your weather channel forecast. watching a couple of weather systems, the next one moving into the pacific northwest and the one moving into the plains will be mainly rain, but a threat for severe storms throughout portions of the south and into arkansas, oklahoma and parts of eastern texas. and to the north, could see a little bit of a wintry mess there. mild temperatures around the gulf coast states. the orange and the red showing the mildest reading, 60s and 70s. the blues showing the cold, but still only in the 40s. thursday, a chance for snow around the great lakes. that next system moving into the northeast. some of the higher elevations could see a wintry mix, maybe some sleet or snow. otherwise just rain along the eastern seaboard with mild temperatures. forts to the northeast, to 50

degrees in d.c. 60s and lower 70s throughout the southeast. friday, a chance of rain in the pacific northwest, the southwest and southeast and some of those lingering snow showers in the northeast. mainly northern new england, upstate new york and we'll see a calm day for a huge portion of the country on saturday. that's going to be the good news from the northern plains all the way down almost to the southern plains. however, around the gulf coast and parts of the panhandle of florida, a chance for rain showers. same story on sunday for the southeast, but drying out in texas. some lingering showers and cool in the northeast. it's going to be the colder spots that will have the best chance foreseeing the snow. on monday, drying out in the northeast. it's another system moving into the northern plains with highs into the 30s and still mild in the southeast. and remember, on the weather channel weekdays check out stephanie abrams and al roker on "wake up with al."
