tunnel and looking pretty good at this hour. this is the fort mchenry. southbound trough -- southbound traffic moving without delay. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> hundreds of baltimore residents are waking up without gas this morning. >> crews are trying to fix a water main and it could take days to fix. jennifer franciotti is live near the scene with the latest on the repair efforts. >> this is a situation that went from bad to worse. of the 900 homes and businesses affected, b.g.e. still needs to go door-to-door to some 400 homes. everything unfolded yesterday. dcw was working on a water main break. a piece of asphalt fell one and forced water into a gas line. all that water has to be pumped

out of the line. >> we still have to get into each building, turn the gas off, then go back to the gas main and drain the water out. >> we are canvassing the area and we're making progress. you're talking about hundreds of homes we have to access. >> b.g.e. stopped going door-to- door around 11:00 p.m., but they did have people on call in case somebody were to call and say it is ok to come into the home to turn off the gas main. more door-to-door efforts will resume at 7:00 a.m. this morning. they have to get into the gas line and pump the water route and then go door-to-door again to return service. we will bring a more at 5:30. jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you.

prosecutors are expected to wrap up their case in the murder trial against george huguely. >> two medical experts took the stand yesterday. lowell melser has a preview of what jurors can expect today. >> as we enter the eighth day, six days worth of testimony, we're nearing the finish line for the commonwealth. the many clear they will be wrapping up their case sometime today. we ended with dna evidence last night. we will hear more of that dna evidence as the commonwealth wraps up its case and the defense takes over. it is not clear how many witnesses the defense will call. the judge is willing to go into saturday if need be and into next week. we'll keep an eye on things and have an update at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. lowell melser, wbal-tv 11 news.
