the forecast does call for the most snow we have seen this winter. we start off with and insta- weather alert. what have you got for us? >> we have had hardly any snow this winter. this is a set up for a big storm, but it does not have to be. the track from this morning through tomorrow evening puts below -- puts the low in the perfect area. it may be cold enough to get some snow. will though moisture make it far enough north to do something? that has been a problem with the forecast and trying to figure out the computer models. the odds of getting no snow and baltimore have gone up to about 30%. about 40% of 1 to 3 inches. lusser chances for 8 inches or a

bug. i will have more details on what happens tomorrow, coming up. >> now to the murder trial of george huguely accused of killing his girlfriend yeardley love. the defense has rested. jurors are hearing closing arguments. lowell melser is live with the latest. >> it is hard to believe we are nearing the end of the trial after more than two weeks. is commonwealth's attorney getting ready for rebuttals, closing arguments. in the case will go to the jury. before his fate was to be put in the hands of the jury, the defense called one last medical witness, a neurosurgeon who said in his opinion, your yeardley love's brain did not have

injuries consistent with blunt force trauma. the jury reconvened, the defense rested. the commonwealth did not call any other witnesses. closing arguments began. through tears, the attorney began retelling the story of the night love it was found dead. she made the decision to stay in her room while george huguely made the decision to go see her while he was drunk. he reminded the jury about the e-mail and the night he went to see your. he asked the jury how frightened she must have been when he kicked in the door. pictures of injuries were shown again. chapman told the jury the only possible explanation for death was blunt force trauma. he says the evidence clearly shows she was murdered during the commission of a robbery. the defense countered the claims as it has the entire trial saying love did not die from blunt force trauma, rather

asphyxiation from falling across -- asleep drunk on her face. they say he was in her apartment, but there was no intent to kill. the jury will have 37 different charges to go over including murder and involuntary manslaughter. it is not clear how long the jury will deliberate. we will have an update at 11:00. we're live in charlottesville, virginia. i am lowell melser for wbal-tv 11 news. >> the baltimore archbishop was among several priests inducted into the college of cardinals. we have team coverage of the ceremony starting with rod daniels, the only local television reporter in rome for the elevation.

the approaching storm. that is the storm we will be watching carefully. it will be combining with the cold air. it was anything but cold today. 57 for the high at the airport. the inner harbor was 59. it is hard to believe a major winter storm is developing with these conditions today. 28 and 38 were the morning lows this morning. the typical high this time of year is 46 degrees. it is 47 degrees in annapolis. it is 45 on the boardwalk. it is still in the 50's at westminster. it is in the 30's in far western maryland. here is the whole satellite image looking at the larger picture. the cold front is producing moisture in pennsylvania and new england. this is where the big load of

moisture is. the thunderstorm activity is in alabama. if thunderstorm develop activity develops tomorrow, it could lessen the chances of snow. the key will be held close it will come to us and when the moisture will cut off. baltimore will be right on the edge. here is the map with the cold front just passing through. the storm is centered to the south with the cold air coming in. clouds tonight, chilly, we stay dry. 37 will be the overnight low. most of the snow will be south of us. we have a trace to 2 inches of snow in our forecast around baltimore. more to the south. 38 to 42 from a high. i am guessing it will mostly be in the 30's. a little rain may be next in when it starts up. all of the advisories and

warnings are to the west. small craft advisories will be out tomorrow. the wind gusted to 20 from the northeast. the forecast shows the apart in moisture. the clouds cut off in pennsylvania. the storm passes close to us in the evening. this model keeps the moisture south of the baltimore area. other models bring it farther north. we are probably going to get something out of it. presidents' day looks dry. as far as how much we get, one computer model gives us a little bit of snow, and inch or so. other models have it further south. that is the dilemma. most of the snow will be south. we could see a trace, up to two inches. presidents' day looks dry. we will be back in the 50's for much of next week. we will see other days next week when we could see rain or a little snow.
