we said we would be at the north edge of the storm and we truly are. later this evening, we may pick up a quick shower. the radar is a little deceiving. the air is dry over baltimore. that is why we are falling short as far as snow is concerned. the line of stuff is hitting the ground runs through the district of columbia and on top of annapolis. the darker green in this area it is actual rain fall. the snowfall is to the south in virginia and west virginia. it will not come much farther north. the radar trends are to push it further north. we could pick up a shower but nothing significant or equal to what they are getting in

virginia. we will talk more about that. >> baltimore city police are on the scene of a serious stabbing in west baltimore. they responded to lombard street about 3 caught. police donned one man stabbed. that is all that was safe at -- police found one man stabbed. that is all they will say at this point. a 13-year-old baltimore boy died after falling out of a car. michael trulock open the door when he felt sick. the car was still moving. he fell out and another car hit him. police have few other details. they are still investigating. no doubt you have heard about the big vote to approve same-sex marriage. the fight is not over yet. we had a chance to sit there with the lieutenant governor to talk about the next step.

>> state senators will start debating the bill. lieutenant governor brown says he is confident it will pass in the senate because it did last year. during this morning's segment, lt. gov. anthony brown outlined the administration's efforts. >> explaining in real terms how it is just and fair and how marriage equality and supports strong families in maryland. every child in maryland should have the opportunity to be raised by a couple, parents who love that child. >> on friday, the state house passed a bill that would give same-sex couples the same equal protection under the law as their heterosexual counterparts. for supporters of the bill, it was an emotional event. >> we are thrilled with the result. >> now that the bill has passed in the house, it will head to the senate where lawmakers are expected to start debating this week. >> i hope they see they can take

you can see a sampling of temperatures from around the area. where they have more moisture, they are ready to change over to snow. we are 45. it is 39 at westminster. temperatures are in the 30's, closer to freezing, in far western maryland. they are north of the activity. it is all down here where the action is. here are the clouds. here is the storm system itself near south carolina. these bright clouds are producing most of the moisture. farther north is just been teased at this stage of the game. wilmington is farther south than earlier predictions. you see some echoes going up to near the pennsylvania line. the air is dry. anything try to come not of the
