the accident just -- happened is just down the road. it was on this stretch when a chevy cavalier carrying three members of the bauguess family sideswiped a vehicle. >> it entered the northbound lanes outside 43 sideways and was struck by another northbound vehicle. an accurate that had to people in it. the force of that crash, the chevy cavalier -- cut the chevy cavalier in half. the two males were ejected and the female state inside. all three were pronounced dead at the scene. >> killed were david bauguess and joseph bauguess and ashley bauguess. it is a devastating tragedy.

at 51. it will not be as cold as it has been. 32 to 39. a chance of a sprinkle in the forecast. skies will cloud up a bit. the sun goes down at 5:50 p.m. this evening. there is the weather disturbance we expect to track through and look to the north. a pink shaded front is included. it has an area of low pressure. there is not much temperature change on either side of the secluded front. a cold front tracking down through the gulf coast states but not a lot of rain going on. good news for mardi gras. ? back clear to partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the 50's. this is headed up to canada. we get brushed re weakening front as it makes its way through. there are a series of disturbances rolling through over the next few days. temperature wise there is not a lot of bitterly cold air in the

lower 48. we will not bring a bunch of winter weather to the region. a few snow showers around the great lakes. not much going on with the weather disturbances in the pacific northwest other than mountain snow showers. a quiet weather pattern. chillier across the northern tier than we saw yesterday. 33 at minneapolis. again for winter, this is not all that bad. no sign of any huge arctic push coming our way. maybe over the weekend it will get colder. just a sprinkle of rain tonight. partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures tomorrow. a more significant batch of showers tracks through the central part of maryland. thursday looks like the warmest day of the week. friday morning, this line of showers has a strong cold front coming through. maybe a rumble of thunder. it does not come through too early in the morning. you can see how cold it is behind that front.

slump -- slamming into traffic. they have been identified as ashley bauguess, joseph bauguess, and david bauguess. two others were injured but released from the hospital. police are releasing the sketch of a man the believe sexually assaulted and 9-year-old girl as she walked home from school. it happened in the lakeshore community of pasadena last tuesday. police say that he grabbed the girl and grabbed her into -- pulled her into a wooded area. he is described as clean shaven with a bald head. anyone with information, should called detectives. >> the state senate is expected to act quickly on a bill that would legalize same-sex marriage. a senate committee approved the legislation which moves that bill to the senate for a vote. one key note. the committee turned down two amendments that would have restored the effective date and legalized city unions.
