>> we begin tonight with breaking news from northeast of an opera police say a customer at a royal forms for was shot tonight during the commission of a robbery. -- baltimore police say a customer was shot. now to an update we total about it 5:00 and 6:00, a deadly crash in randallstown. investigators a 22-year-old melvin bettis collided head-on into 60-year-old andre murphy this afternoon. that led to merkley's car crashing into another car. the woman in a third car was not injured. the crash remains under investigation tonight. now to that crippled fatal crash were brought to you as breaking news last night at 11:00. a violent accident took the life of two brothers and their sisters. kerry cavanaugh is live in harford county with the latest

on that investigation. >> first responders have to be prepared for any type of emergency they may encounter, but sometimes circumstances are to cope with, so crisis teams come in after the fact to help volunteer scope. many were deeply affected by that complicated crash last month that took three young lives. the course of monday night's crash in bel air was so powerful, police say this chevy cavalier broke apart when it crossed the center line and encountered two other cars on route 543. the scene was a challenge for per se responders. they found 24-year-old ashley bauguess's body right away but they were not se if there were others nearby. but they could not see. >> rescue workers found her two brothers on the side of the road, 17-year-old joseph and 29-

year-old robert or also found at the scene. the work, to make sure there were no other victims while tending to those injured in the other cars. firefighter rich gardner said the scene was so stressful, the crisis response team arrived tuesday night to breivik -- to debrief the volunteers. >> they are taking thousands of calls a year. they work their primary and secondary jobs, and between that, they are coming in here taking care of emergencies. >> the family at the heart of the tragic coped with a loss of two sons and a daughter. but three children, and you know, it is rough. >> what can people do to to help, if anything? cracks nothing, right now, just pray that other teenagers don't get themselves in that same situation. >> at this point, it is cut

unclear who was behind the wheel of the cavalier when crashed. police of the toxicology reports will help steer the investigation. >> another serious crash today, three teenagers in howard county seriously injured after their vehicle collided with a school bus. we are told the teenagers were driving around 2:30 this afternoon when a left turn into the bus. two of the teens were blown to shock trauma. one is listed in critical condition and one is in stable condition. no one on the bus was hurt. police said a customer at a royal farms store was shot tonight during the commission of a robbery. kai reed is live on the scene. what can you tell us right now about what happened? >> our investigator -- investigators say several people were inside this door when the

shots were fired around 9:30 tonight. detectives are still inside the store, securing the scene and trying to gather evidence and find out exactly what happened. we know that two men came in and started to rob the store. sometime during that robbery, want of the robbers shot a customer in the chest. the 46-year-old man was conscious and breathing as he was rushed to hospital. the two men stole cash and cigarettes and police said they fled east on harford road on foot. they are talking to a lot of the witnesses who were inside. the only description they have is that the two men were african-american and one was wearing a hoodie. there was a woman inside this board that helped of it -- help the victim and try to keep him, before paramedics arrived. anyone who knows anything about the suspects, are asked to call baltimore city police or dial 911. kai reed, wbal-tv 11 news.

>> it was a crazy seen in anne arundel county. a man injured and taken into custody tonight and authorities say it began as a case of road rage. police a man stabbed the driver of another vehicle on route 3. we are told it started with an angry exchange of words monday afternoon that escalated into a high-speed chase. investigators say it ended in the stabbing. the victim had been stabbed in the upper body, returned to his vehicle, and then pursue the other vehicle, forcing debbie rowe off the road into a ditch. >> five people were involved and there is no word tonight if anyone else will face charges. in the shadow of the accidents we have reported on tonight, a bill putting the brakes on speed cameras is working its way through the senate.

boyfriend. experts said the domestic violence depicted in the public service announcement can easily spill into the workplace. authorities estimate that violence at home will force as many as 163 men in maryland to take -- make a choice between their personal safety and a paycheck. >> how do you measure the cost of living in fear? >> the lieutenant governor is putting the weight of his office behind the bill to help victims receive unemployment benefits if their continued employment jeopardize their safety or that of their family. the cost is estimated the $259,000 a year. it would come from the unemployment insurance trust fund. >> they experience their abusers calling them at work and sometimes perpetrating violence at their place of employment.

bill that addressed in -- that address the use of public restrooms. anne arundel county council members remain deadlocked on the decision to fill the vacancy of former member darryl jones. the chamber had voted 104 times, including three votes today, but each time the boat remained split between two. this comes on the heels of our racial slur made by member during the voting session. tonight 8000 residents remain without representation. >> you have qualified candidates. there is no reason why the canada council should be deadlocked on this. but the council is expected to vote again on march 5. anne arundel county police have released a composite sketch in hopes of finding a man they say sexually assaulting a young girl. investigators say this sketch i just the description of a man who attacked the 9-year-old victim as she walked home from school last tuesday in pasadena.

you can find it on wbaltv.com. federal regulators say two cancer drugs that have been critically short supply will soon be available. the fda announced relief for the shortage. they will import replacement drug from india and they plan to ease shortage of another drug used to treat bone cancer and acute leukemia in children. >> we would be able to meet the needs of patients on a continuing basis. this should resolve the shortage. >> pharmaceutical company -- of pharmaceutical company has begun shipping thousands of bottles of the drug to hospitals nationwide. the generic drug for children to use will be available next month.

a bit of light in the gloom, big gains today on wall street as the dow crossed the 13,000 mark for the first time in nearly four years. many experts consider this a sign that the economy is on the mend. >> with the dow passing the 13,000 mark for the first time since 2008, market watchers say middle americans should celebrate, too. >> any increase in the stock market is going to help. >> consumer spending is what helps home depot with an increase in fiscal fourth quarter earnings that boosted the dow create a report that walmart had a 15% drop, at which did not hurt that much. analysts say -- $172 billick -- bailout should border of the disaster all across europe, at least for now.

northern carol and frederick counties, 46 degrees. but to leap 38 at frostburg, and that looks like the cold spot -- of chilly 38 at frostburg. maybe some mid-30's in the couture suburbs. the sun comes up at 10 minutes before seven in the morning. --re's not much of a temper of a temperature contrast on either side of the front coming through here. little or no temperature contrast on either side of the front, just an area of low pressure moving through and maybe a passing sprinkle. a couple of weather systems lining up to the northwest near the canadian border. it could bring a slight chance for a shower a couple of days, wednesday, thursday, and friday, there are a few showers in the forecast.

mary got across the plains states and down to new orleans where it mardi gras is underway -- very quiet across the plains states. no major storms on the map right now and temperatures are relatively mild. our forecast will call for clouds and an occasional shower meeting through tomorrow evening, but they will be hit and miss, scattered showers and not a big deal. on thursday, another chance for some scattered showers in the afternoon and evening, and on friday a star or cold front comes through. eventually some snow showers will hit western maryland. there is the front early in the morning on friday. it will be 60 in the day but temperatures will fall during the afternoon and the cold will deliver a shot of snow in the mountains to the west. changes are not coming in to friday afternoon and into the weekend. tomorrow is another mild day, 53-58.
