that was awful. >> but you learn -- it's like ryan seacrest when all that happened with the dictator the other day. you see what a person is made of. in that instant when, you know, nothing's planned, it's all spontaneous and you see the person's reaction. i think she handled it as if it was another day in germany. happens all the time. >> so you've been in a restaurant before. i've seen a waiter accidentally drop something on someone and the person throws a fit. you feel terrible. i'm much more on the side of the waiter. >> nobody except for the dictator plans on something like that. >> right. >> what is the fallout from that? a lot of people are not too pleased with him. >> they were saying that technically, i guess, legally you could file some kind of a lawsuit because he invaded personal space and -- >> and did damage to his personal property. >> you know he's not going to do that, and this guy did it for attention. i'm not sure it was the kind of attention even he wanted.

loss of hair, basically. >> exactly. >> and that was a terrify thing for your mother at first. >> right. >> at first she assumed the worst. >> i started to lose my hair at about 2 years old. from 2 to 4 i was bald like i am now. 4 years old, i started to regrow my hair. my mom was, like, yeah. i was about to start preschool. from ages 4 to 8, i had some hair. i would have a spot maybe in the back. but so my other hair would kind of cover that. around 8 years old, my hair came out again for a second time. my mom kind of panicked and was, like, my gosh, what's happening. she's gring to be made fun of. this is horrible. >> that was her biggest concern. >> right. and i'm an only child, so i mean, it's her only, you know, baby. >> you were wearing wigs far a while. then you decided enough already with that. >> right. >> you were 8 -- look how darling. you have something so many kids don't have at that age. that's confidence. >> you walked in that classroom. how did you do that? >> i don't know.

i was 8 years old and in third grade and i said, mom, i'm going to school today without my wig. she was, like, what? put that wig back on. >> you were a tomboy. it was always in your way. >> exactly. so, you know, i felt like this is exactly what i said, i felt like i was hiding myself from others. i went to school that day. kids were like didn't you have hair yesterday? i was, like, yeah. they were, like, cool. nothing really happened. most people with alopecia get bullied. i was fortunate never to get bullied. i think it was because i was so confident with myself. >> a lot of kids get bullied, but when you walk in the room -- >> you're okay with yourself. >> exactly. >> you help other kids. >> i go to schools. i'm a motivational speaker. i basically share my message. at first, you know, i didn't think i had a message. i just thought i was, you know, this kid just being who she was, you know, what i am, bald.

they're smaller but when they get bigger, they're the boss. let's get him off the table here. our next animal is a lot smaller. >> how do you get that animal here? does it go first class? >> yeah. they're in a car. they don't come from too far away. would you like to hold the scorpion? >> sure, she can. >> i'm going to put it on your hand like this. >> it hasn't been defanged. >> it hasn't. >> this is an emperor scorpion, one of the world's largest scorpions. it does have a venomous stinger and you're being very brave. i'm proud of you. but see these giant claws? never going to sting you. what it's going to do is pinch with you claws if it's afraid. >> look at it. get it, get it. >> they're very docile. i would not let you hold it if i thought that would happen. they eat insects and they're food for a lot of others. >> would the sloth enjoy it? >> the sloth would not. the sloth is an herbivore.

good morning, everyone. here's the forecast for the next seven days, starting with the forecast for wednesday. watching the potential for severe storms from the ohio valley all the way into the deep south. snow on the backside. a good old fashioned spring storm heading east, rain in new york city, snow in the higher elevations and another storm system coming into the west, bringing another round of snow and severe weather. ohio valley in the 70s. minneapolis, 35 degrees. anything that's falling probably will melt and temperatures may drop during the day, as well. atlanta, 74 degrees. a cold front heading east off the coast hopefully thursday night but it may hang up across the south. more mountain snow over your way the next couple of days. very mild conditions, really not

scouring out the atmosphere with this first front. expect mild conditions. as the front comes out of the rockies, the ohio valley all the way do the deep south, a round of snow from minneapolis. that heads east. travel problems by saturday for the east coast. finally catching a breather by the latter part of the weekend. a little light snow for the ohio valley. 49 in kansas city, not bad. 52 in salt lake city. phoenix, a nice 82 degrees. denver at 52. 51 in new york again. our system will be off the coast. lake-effect snow on monday and temperatures around 40 in louisville and there's that big storm. remember "wake up with al" monday through friday for the
