leopold, a republican, in his second term as county executive. two to three times per week, the indictment charges, he would have police security drive him to parking lots and wait for him while he got into another car and have sex with a county employee. it accuses leopold and using the police to drive around and tear down opponent signs and collect checks from contributors. while hospitalized for back surgery twice, leopold allegedly used the police to prevent his girlfriend's from a finding out about each other. this was often done on overtime costing taxpayers thousands of dollars. also while hospitalized, he required the police, and another employee, to learn how to empty his year-end from a collection bag. we spoke to him by phone short- time ago. >> it would be inappropriate for me to publicly comment on the allegations, but the citizens of

story. she rode a book which later inspired "dead man walking." david collins is following the debate and joins us live from annapolis with an update. >> sister helen is a petite fireball, very persuasive. she has made abolishing the death penalty her mission in life. sister helen is a tireless opponent of the death penalty. it is her life. in 1981, she began a prison ministry in more land than became a spiritual advisor to louisiana death row inmate and a witness to six state executions. she wrote a best-seller and the movie "dead man walking" is based on it. >> it is about the weight social change comes in this country and it's happening around the death penalty. we see it diminishing across the country in practice.

historic cardinal gibbons high school two years after the announcement that they would close the building. in hospitals as they have big plans for the 32-acre site. tim tooten joins us with more on that story. >> it may come as a surprise to some. when cardinal gibbons closed come up to an ad din said they had no plans to buy the property, but apparently there has been a change of heart and conditions. >> we have agreed to purchase the cardinal gibbons campus from the archdiocese and it will remain a vibrant part of our community. >> it is about to become an office building and housing complex for st. agnes employees. that's not all. there are plans to turn the old baseball diamond where babe ruth once played in to my youth park. >> we have been out here working for a short time. we have not worked out all the details, but i can tell you the cal ripken sr. foundation is committed to working with st.

soaking rain with 1.5 bench? in response, they have issued a flood advisory. if we pick up another inch of rain, there could be some minor flooding problems. keep that in mind if you live near a creek or stream. most of the severe weather will stay west of the mountains. we will get a pretty good outbreak from the southern part of ohio all the way down to the gulf coast. 60-70 mile per hour winds. there are about 10-12 back to tornado warnings right now one in this line of storms coming across the ohio river valley. all of that is trying to move eastward and it will bump into the 40-degree weather we have here in maryland. we will miss most of that. there's some snow on the back end of this system. this is one powerful, dynamic system. warm air out of the gulf coast

mixing with the cold air coming out of the northern plains. remember we showed you deep snow in chicago? these two air masses are bumping to get there. we have high pressure in new england forcing cooler air down the coast keeping us stable and shelley. 46 of the airport, 47 columbia. these temperatures will not move much tonight. rain showers, we may have a bit, but as severe weather. this will sweep of the test and we will have a good chance for showers and storms most likely in the morning. if you are planning for outdoors tomorrow come and do it later in the day. there most certainly could be some thunderstorms at that time with high temperatures between 57-62. the high temperature rarely 48 on sunday, 41 monday. a chance for a the rain or snow showers. we go from your 60 with showers
