is an accident. two 2 miles -- two juveniles are facing involuntary manslaughter charges. >> monae turnage and a couple of her friends were playing with a gun, the gun went off and shot her in the chest she died and the two possibly panicked and tried to hide her body. her mother is still trying to make sense of this whole ordeal. >> i cannot explain how i feel. losing a child like that, it is devastating. >> edith turnage is still in a state of shock after a 13-year- old daughter was found shot to death in an alley in the 1600 block of feckless view avenue in east baltimore sunday night. according to her family, she was supposed to be roller skating with her friends saturday night.

instead, police say between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. she was at a friend's house with two male juvenile is, ages 12 and 13, and were playing with a .22 caliber rifle and somehow she was shot in the chest and died. police say the two boys took her body outside and buried it under some plastic bags in an alley. >> when we did not hear from her for about 30 minutes, we knew something was terribly wrong. and the story of her friends, it did that add up. something was not right. >> after talking to investigators at around 1:00 a.m. saturday morning, they searched the neighborhood in hopes of finding her. unfortunately, it was her brother who found her body at around 6:00 p.m. sunday night. >> at first when we looked we did not see anything, but then we looked again. >> turnage was an eighth grader with various certificates of academic achievement and an open

bible by her bed. she was very well-rounded, her mother says, and had dreams of being a doctor. >> she would go to school every day. she was up on her grades. she was in church. she sang in the choir. >> with those dreams-, -- with those dreams dashed, police said there are still many unanswered questions. >> whose gun was it? how did it and at the hands of a 12 and 13-year-old child? >> the two boys are being charged as juvenile spirit of their names are not been released. they are charged with involuntary manslaughter. police also tell us they're looking into the possibility that a couple of adults may have been involved in helping these two young boys.
