baltimore city police have confirmed that a city police officer has been suspended for his conduct after the shooting of the 13-year-old monae turnage. police say she and two boys were playing with a rifle went she was shot saturday night. the boys took her body to an alley at cliftview avenue and buried it under plastic bags. her body was found the next night. sources familiar with the case say that the suspended officer is dating our relative of one of the suspect street sources say investigators want to know if the officer knew about the shooting and did not report it and whether he counseled the suspects about what to do with turnage. we spoke of family members who say they had their suspicions that an adult might have been involved, but to hear that an

striking him in the chest. his mother was also injured but is expected to survive. the investigation is ongoing. baltimore city police are investigating a deadly shooting in an northwest baltimore. it happened at west mulberry street near an elementary school. one man died at the scene and another was rushed to the hospital. sky team 11 was just over the scene of an accident involving a firefighter in baltimore county. here is the intersection of cromwell bridge road and centreville -- and cedar hill. a tree fell on him, hitting him in the head. he was flown to shock trauma. there are several road closures in the area. we will have more information tonight at 5:00. anne arundel county fire crews will battle at two-alarm fire at a town house last night.

it happened at cutler harbour. it took close to 80 firefighters an hour to control the blaze. luckily, no one was hurt. a catholic school in bel air had to be evacuated due to a chemical odor. it happened at st. margaret school. three faculty members were taken to upper chesapeake. two of them fainted. cross contamination of the cleaning solutions caused a chemical odor. >> yesterday we had some light snow across the area. today it is the sunshine. the sunni weather will warm us up into the next couple of days. 41 is the current temperature, with winds out of the east, 5 miles per hour. in the afternoon and evening hours, mostly sunny skies, clear

skies overnight. dropping into the 40's by 6:00 p.m., the thirties and 20's overnight. >> anne arundel county police continued their no-confidence voting process for county executive john leopold today. residents waited on allegations of misconduct by leopold last night in annapolis. he is charged with misusing taxpayer-funded security and facilitating sexual encounters between him and county employees. the outcry follows a call for the non-confidence vote initiated monday. >> if our members speak out and vote and say they don't have confidence in him as county executive, he should step aside. >> anne arundel county police officers are also voting on the police chief. according to the indictment, the chief was informed about the alleged police "campaign work" but took no action.

the 2012 maryland legislative session is in jeopardy of being extended if lawmakers cannot balance this year's budget. monday, the house and senate discussed how to phase in gov. martin o'malley's proposed split of teacher pension costs with counties over more than a year instead of all at once. the senate is also looking to point to 5% across-the-board increase in the state personal income tax. the house decides on increasing the tax only for the top seven to 10% wage earners. polls are open in seven states this afternoon. today's super tuesday vote is critical in the republican race for president, especially in ohio. tracie potts has our commitment 2012 update. >> 11 states, over 400 delegates, and a lot of frustrated voters at the polls. >> i think it is is a lot of
