the american soldier accused in the incident has been flown out of the country. gov. martin o'malley said failing to enact his gas tax proposal could mean greater cost to the state down the road. he testified before the maryland house of delegates in senate wednesday afternoon asking lawmakers to sign off on his proposal to apply a 6% sales tax to gasoline. opponents of same-sex marriage have launched an online position in their fight to get the issue in the november ballot. it needs to collect more than 55,000 verified signatures to have the measure voted on by the public this fall. as part of their collection effort, boaters can request petitions on line. they are promising massive grass-roots efforts at churches and other locations. >> that is the sound of moving in day for 100 slot machines at maryland live casino. it marks the first phase of
