who could not be there. >> he was my son. and your son. >> trayvon martin was shot and killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer, bridezilla marin. it has been months since the shooting and no arrest. there is growing questions about the claims of self-defense. adding to the pain of martin's grieving parents. >> i would not let my son die in vain. >> a new state attorney was assigned and called for a task force to investigate. with tensions growing, the police chief announced he would temporarily step aside. >> i do this in hopes of the assembly -- restoring some semblance of calm. >> the chief said he is temporarily leaving. we want permanent justice.

>> as the fbi continue ongoing investigations while the patients of this community continues to wear thin. city commissioners have scheduled a public meeting to discuss the shooting. many of those here tonight said they do plan to attend. >> an assault at a high school that has drawn worldwide. cell phone video was posted on a website on worldstarhiphop.com. it is an after-school flight on viral. after dismissal. school officials say a man in a ski mask and a blue shirt confronted and tried to assault the student in the pink oxford. officials say the student was defending himself.

>> currently the situation is under investigation by the school and the police. it has been turned over to the police department. >> this is -- officials say it stems from a taunting incident. the virtual pummelling continues. more than 600,000 people have watched the video online. >> the fact this was filmed and it has gone viral, that is a fact of life these days. >> to get somebody who they could not get someone an active action, they took a pass of -- passive route of expression and rage. >> online, beater can take on a life of its own. >> taking pictures and putting it on the internet, that this the worst kind of action. if there is malicious intent. >> police say a 15-year-old girl has been charged with assault

and a plan to file assault and disorderly conduct against the adult. officials believe the man is somehow related to the 15-year- old girl. the principal said he found out about the video from a u.s. marshal in texas. >> authorities say the jonathan hutchinson was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. he later died at a hospital. no word on a motive or suspects. an update in the investigation of the triple stabbing in baltimore county. the men were all involved in the fight during which three people were stabbed. they range in age from 18 to 21. we caught the scene tuesday afternoon in owings mills. police tell us the man got out from a car and started fighting.

the car was shot dead at one. . police are still investigating the shooting. >> a bicyclist was hit by a bus downtown. surely before 9:00 a.m. in the 100 block of key highway. it is not clear what type of bus structure but she was treated and released. >> the final officer in the extortion scheme has pleaded guilty. facing a to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced in july. more than 50 others receiving kickbacks for sending accident victims to majestic for repairs. 17 officers were cruelly charge. he was ordered to attend by subpoena. and if he does not start talking, council members say they may issue a second subpoena. >> we're live in anne arundel county with the story. >> there is a lot of pressure on

the chief to talk especially now that the anne arundel police department has been implicated in the scandal with executive john leopold. the attorney advised him not to talk yet and said the subpoena is not valid. the top cop has no plans of testifying in an accounting- upcoming meeting. despite the fact he got a subpoena. >> the public have been demanding answers and they deserve answers and so do we. >> he was indicted in -- on charges of misconduct and ordering officers to keep secret files on his political opponents. they can find out more about his alleged involvement in the case. >> he is in a special position of trust and goes into the residents of the county, the county council to account for the actions of his department and his own actions.
